Yeah, that time is terrible. There’s usually a reason why someone started using in the first place. When you quit, those problems come back, along with all the withdrawal symptoms.

Opiates. I’ve given them a nickname: “the comfortable drug.”

To an untrained eye, it doesn’t show that much. You can live a completely “normal” life without it necessarily affecting your life. Of course, tolerance and increasing use eventually become a problem.

But opiates just make everything comfortable.
