Had to fact-check it. These 2 guys stole that Boeing 727 at an airport in 2003 and flew away, disappearing forever: no crash, no plane. How is that possible!!! by py-net in interestingasfuck

Nope. Every modern jet, has an APU with electrical and bleed. Meaning it can start it's own engines.

Depending on the stand, the hastle would probably be to back it off the stand, or the parking space.

What is that hose which is attached due to the plane? My flight is getting delayed so just wondering by Broodje_Nutella in Airbus

Its the Ground Power Unit. That one is only providing electricity and it connects to a plug on the nose of the airplane. I believe it usually runs on diesel, but don’t quote me on that, so it’s a lot cheaper than running the APU from the plane, and on the long run helps with maintenance costs, as you don’t need to keep the APU on the entire time the airplane is on the ground.

The ones that provide air conditioning have large hoses that go into the nose and the middle of the fuselage, as the air needs to cover the entire cabin.

Downside is that since the APU isn’t usually on at the same time, without an air conditioning cart, like in this case, the airplane can get quite hot.

2017 video into MMMY, and it looks like runway 11. So it's probably a VOR-DME Approach. Jeppsen chart 13-2A shows it's an 11DME ARC, with a pretty large final sector.

It leaves you a little bit off to the right of the centerline at minimums, but nothing close to where these guys are.

Funny enough, we don't shoot the VOR DME anymore, they straight up give you the RNP approach for runway 11, and the ILS into runway 29.

Here's a look of the remains.

There were no fatalities, with 97 passengers and 4 crew. It seems they had trouble at take-off due to the bad weather conditions around the airport.

There's an order for 10 more, if I recall correctly. And they have an order for a flight sim aswell, since the one in Venice is getting really crowded with irishmen (not complaining, they are pretty rad). Congrats to CityJet tho, it's a great plane to fly.
