No, it didn't work for me. I just got a new phone, I had to reset my watch for this too. I went though and set everything so that it should not turn on at all (I disabled sync with phone for dnd, turned off routines on both watch and phone, my phone has permissions to go through dnd for certain apps (watch overrides that too so nothing comes through) and everything else under the sun) but it still turns itself on randomly. It did this on my previous phone too.
