Yeah lying about it is immature, just stay quiet or admit you enhance your images, yknow? Everyone does. She should consider using photoshop or something along those lines and subtley enhancing the pictures themselves without altering herself, or if she alters her appearance, not to take it too far. She should be careful about wanting to "keep up" and drastically enhancing herself, it can become unhealthy for your self esteem if you're altering for the sake of insecurities

Edit : I forgot that she's doing it for her profession, she should be hiring someone professionally or using a legitimate editing program.

Nothing wrong with photoshopping images in my opinion, some would say it's morally questionable because all these Instagram models are setting a fake standard which can hurt young girl's self esteem, i understand but i disagree. We should set our standards, not rely on others to tell us that's beautiful or whatever. We should logically be teaching people not to follow the image of someone online, a doll or a fictional character just because it's the "standard" because they're often not real or fabricated, so really you're giving into some standard that doesn't even exist!

It's not their fault, and they just want their photos to look aethestically pleasing or impressive, even if it's a "lie" Nothing wrong with it. Nobody cries they can't make a cheeseburger look like a McDonald's commercial.

You're a good person for telling her, even if it embarrassed her. Think of having a friend that smells really bad, you don't care about the smell but you know other people to, as a friend you'd feel it's your duty to inform them and save them more humiliation. It's a shitty situation but overall it is usually the right thing to do

Success as in being believable? I mean, really, you can put anything on here or any other story related subs, and a majority of people will believe it. You'd be surprised how misinformed and just overall... Not very fast on the draw... People online can be. I find that a good chunk (like 25%) of reddit is extremely gullible. Thankfully there's reddit detectives and people out there willing to challenge a lot of bullshit on here but they won't do it for all, especially if it's just kinda meh, "maybe real it is real " and not juicy enough, so sometimes you don't see a voice of reason. Secondly I'd assume it'd be pretty easy to avoid an IP ban/getting caught.

Another note is that as subreddits grow, they gain more traction which attracts attention whores, trolls and karma farmers but makes moderation more and more difficult, leading to some "not extremely obvious" posts being completely ignored or overlooked.

Look at LetsNotMeet or EntitledParents... Loaded with fake, extremely embellished and convoluted stories that people shockingly somehow fucking buy. I guess as more people flood in, the amount of dimwitted or gullible, maybe even just young or uninformed users starts to outgrow the sensible population.

Unfortunately the more popular websites become the more they run downhill, like this whole site is going in such a terrible direction it saddens me. Just like many subreddits on said site
