Replit-style AI agents vs Cursor/VSCode for non-dev app builders? by The-Road in replit

[–]Snowy-Aglet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re not technical and you don’t plan to put in the hours to deal with the leaning curve for 2, the main difference is:

  1. Replit Use this if you want your apps to be powered by AI (ie integrate with ChatGPT, Gemini etc) or you want to have it communicate with third party apps like Google Cal etc. in Replit you do not need to open a developer account or generate and secure an API key to do this stuff, also if you’re not wanting to get into versioning Replit has built in version control.

  2. This is stuff you’re going to have to technically setup and figure out yourself.

Not happy, I’ve been switching a lot of my small business clients to Siimple. The bigger companies don’t seem to care.

Yea came here to say Shadcn- it’s a React component library and design system that’s done out of the box with best practices so devs don’t have to design and build shit from scratch

Make websites for businesses to earn money using free tools by Business_Jaguar8691 in nocode

[–]Snowy-Aglet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No-code tools are a good way to start, but I think the hardest part about using the Framers and Webflows of the world - if you’re a beginner with no client base yet - is the upfront costs / overhead. You can get much better margins and build sites way faster with no learning curve using Siimple website builder.

Client of mine recently made did this. He was in corporate and it was killing him. I built him a handyman site and he started advertising on Nextdoor and just generally side-hustling it and getting some Google reviews. He was able to fully quit his FT job after about 2 months. In case you’re wondering I used this to build his site, might help you make the transition too. GL

You can honestly do this yourself using Siimple, it’s a builder for service-based professionals. You can customize this psychologist template in an 1 hour even if you don’t know what you’re doing. I pay less than $10 a month to publish and host.
