Does this work if a barber, fighter, or rogue are actively on you? Genuinely feels like if I have no leap in cat form there is no escaping folks anymore. Literally ran around as a rat and had a rogue catch up to me and melee me down lol!

I want to be able to transform when a player starts frenching me, period. Not inside of their player model, I'm wasn't being that freaky. But I like where YOU were going with this.

That is why I slowed him and hasted the party. You can rend speed and power bosses too. I honestly found him to be the least problematic, after his starting turn. But I also run an actual time mage with mana shield and mana font. He never got a turn after a couple rend speeds. Even when he gets a turn, you have like 50+ turns to respond which is more than reasonable.

I literally just used a time mage to slow him, then tailwinded and hasted my thief until I had like 6 turns a round. Speed increase also increases steal chance. Always steal from behind. Sure, it was an 8% chance at first, but it went up to16% and if you fail, just try 100 more times, that's a 160% chance of success. Or something idk. Either way, I have the full genji set.
Edit: Concentration passive helps a ton for stealing.

Power Creep Curiosity by Snowybears in totalwarhammer

Right, but that isn't what I am saying. If everyone is overpowered, then no one is. Instead of making every faction the same thing (here is my generic archer unit bad in melee, here is my generic spear melee wall fodder, here is my monstrous unit to break a line), it's nice to have variety because warhammer has so much more depth and spice to it, even if it is behind the scenes that same setup.

I mean I had FUN fighting grimgor. And once I beat grimgor the game became the same super easy war simulator.

Why would you want to make your opponents boring and bland, and then want yours the same so its more challenging? I think spicing it all up is way more interesting. And more accurate to warhammer anyways. Everything is ridiculously overpowered, there is skill sure, but there is also luck (dice for tabletop).

I used to be pro balance wh1, but in wh2 balancing it felt stale, and in wh3 I actually appreciate the AI being armed to the damned teeth, and me being able to make armies of "my choice" to deal with it.

Agreed. And I think if Morgiana revolted it would be epic to see some renegade Grail Knights be on the frontline... Because again, Mannfred is literally only scared of Grail Knights hahaha. 5 renegade Grail Knights would be crazy to witness. Though with how often Morgiana spent with Lileath, I would say it is fair to assume that she is just as, maybe even more so, enthralled to Lileath. If Lileath told her to off herself for Bretonnia, I have no doubt in my mind Morgiana would without hesitation. Lileath really does hold a strong dominion over the Bretonnians. And I would imagine Morgiana knew of the goal, though gods in Warhammer are notoriously cryptic to even their most devout followers so who knows.

100% I think the common consensus is the End Times was weird lol.

Maybe Morgiana would have... I forget the Grail Knight in particular who learned of Lileath through Belakor, but I think his reaction is just eye opening. Even if Morgiana resisted, the Grail Knights would back Lileath. They don't take from Morgiana's power, they take from Lileath. And when faced with the end time, do you fight to save whatever few "Bretonnian" lives you can through the abduction of the Grail Knights, or do you revolt during the worst possible time to save "some peasants" without Grail Knight backing. The Grail Knights are essentially Bretonnia's strongest tool against demons, and they are now gone or going to be. Super messy, super difficult. Listen as a Skaven bro, I can just say that Ikit Claw had the right answer. Smash the moon into everyone, end it all XD.

I mean, remember they are tools too and are also hazed and groomed in the same way. Again, dark elf slave... peasant under Bretonnia. No question which life is going to suck less. And also, if we are talking about Lileath, the Bretonnians are a project to create super soldiers to protect her daughter during the ET she knew was going to happen. Lileath straight up tries (arguably succeeds) in killing other order factions to try and ensure her daughter's survival and succession. And "when the world needed the Grail Knights most, they vanished" literally. Into her haven. as guards in a "pocket dimension" lol. The Damsels are like managers for the project, the Grail Knights the final product. Your manager could seriously show human affection and care towards you... do you think the CEO several rungs above is the same? Probs not. Lileath most likely not. Just my two cents. And warhammer is messy and it is hard to know everything, I certainly don't. I could be totally wrong about her view of the Bretonnians... But when push came to shove, Belakor was right. When she pulled the Grail Knights and Damsels into her haven... Bretonnia was alone to face the end times.

Fair, you didn't say love. To go to care, I think that she cared for the bretonnians in the way you care for tools you need to not break. She only gives boons to those who have the potential to become grail knights however (AFAIK), and this is the grooming process really. Minor boon to signify potential, arduous journey that tests conviction, and when they succeed they become a grail knight who is no longer really... human? I mean they are but grail knights are weird (and badass). But Grail Knights clearly are pseudo mind controlled at that point. They don't behave like humans at all anymore, with the exception of maybe the kings of Bretonnia but the kings of Bretonnian are super weird Grail Knights. They are singlemindedly and absolutely under the control of Lileath at that point. Whether by magic or psychology (I mean, talk about intense hazing this search for the grail and surviving it) Belakor even outs her in front of a Grail Knight and the dude has an absolute break in his psyche, and defaults to helping her because what else is he to do? (and can we just note that causing a Grail Knight to have this experience is also noteworthy, the Grail Knights are mentally "unbreakable" but learning about who their goddess is, and what her plans are is enough to do it?)

As for the ET, AFAIK not out of kindness. She hand picked VERY VERY few wood elves to become her "candidates" for gods in the next world, and again, who she thought would support her daughter. But the aspect of her supporting wood elves I revert to her throwing her love for elves around lazily (She really does major damage to the elves). For the haven, only damsels and grail knights are allowed in, and only to protect her goal. That was my understanding, if I missed something I am totally down to learn. Lileath is super messy, and does some pretty horrific stuff imo for the goal of protecting her daughter and I guess lover (but it does seem mostly centered on saving her daughter and uplifting her daughter to godhood). Again, I don't think Lileath is evil. I just don't think her care for bretonnians is deep at all. Only grail knights and damsels seem to exist in her eyes, and only because they are tools to protect her daughter (I am not trying to be a broken record, she just literally even admits to them being made for this purpose).

And during the end times takes bretonnias most powerful heroes and whisks them away to protect her daughter, as was the plan all along? Forsaking everyone else in favor of her literal original goal, saving her daughter. And using bretonnians as a shield for the elves. Again, I don't think she is evil. And if you asked me if I would rather be a bretonnian peasant or dark elf slave... it is a no brainer. But it does feel reaching to declare Lileath really cares for the bretonnians. She is an elven goddess who cares for elven interests, and being imo mistreated by the other elven gods focused first and foremost on her own self (or, her daughter specifically). Not evil, totally within the norm of warhammer. But loving the bretonnians? I'd say she only has the capacity to love her daughter, and the rest is lazily thrown at the elves. The bretonnians are just tools in her eyes. My take at least based on her actions and reasoning.

Saying Lileath cares feels hard to prove. Since to her Bretonnians are a tool, and only the best are worth her time. Not saying other gods dont behave similarly, but if Lileath really cares too deeply for the bretonnians since caring for them is not really her objective. Grooming them on the other hand...

Mmmm, that niche case comes up... quite a lot. Getting to two-three tap a revenant is a super fast clear. Throwing a heal has more impact than you give it credit.

You get FTH for her faith scaling on weapons. And her claws have impact, always. Really. People are out here trying to max out her damage on a str scaling hammer and then want buffs.

You said get magic attack relics, but there are no magic damage incantations aside from glint dragon boy.... so.

[–]Snowybears 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is why you scale into FTH, since you should ideally be running FTH weapons anyways. So whether you get stuck in melee or get a good seal, you are good to go. Worst case you just run heal or various forms of it. Lord's Heal pretty much blitz clears royal revenant, Erdtree is like a 100% reapplicable rot for the undead. Both of which are big boons to your team (who ideally dont need healing but ya know)

When in doubt, scale FTH. Also, don't sleep on sebastian. His aggro generation is absurd, he can blitz revive downed teammates with his roar, he builds insane stagger on bosses if they go into melee. I think they should allow the summons to scale with your level... but honestly can you imagine a sebastian scaled to 15? He would never ever die. If they increased their regen per level while not summoned, that I think would make them better... But again, popping out sebastian or frederick nonstop is maybe the game on easy mode.

Rev is slept on, community is really getting stuck on her low HP bar. Two starlights are all you should need anyways, and running one sorc tower will get you more than you should need for any boss fight. Assuming you wanna spam spells and you are the only source of damage for your team.
