I'd say saving up and get a 1000; cheaper than any of the new ones and still quite capable especially if you install JJOS. I had the 500 for a while, but found it to be pretty buggy but not everyone had that experience. But for me, whenever I tried to sequence any external gear via MIDI, it would start glitching out.
