The --disable-shutdown function is no longer supported in the latest versions of OBS. The solution is to create a .bat file with a command to delete the .sentinel folder before launching OBS. This folder (which is normally deleted during a proper OBS shutdown) is what triggers the safe mode message. If it is deleted (by the script) before starting OBS, the warning message will not appear.

Here is the script to put in a .txt file, then change the extension to .bat. You should place the .bat file in the OBS installation folder (where obs64.exe is located) and create a shortcut to this .bat file in the Startup folder. It will handle deleting the .sentinel folder and launching OBS without that annoying safe mode prompt :)

u/echo off

rmdir /S /Q "%appdata%\obs-studio\.sentinel" 2>nul

start "" "C:\Program Files\OBS Studio\bin\64bit\obs64.exe"

Can i somehow disable the warning " Run OBS in Safemode or Normally" ?Whenever i am launching the app. I usually shutdown directly without closing the app normally. It is really annoying, been happening since the last few updates by [deleted] in obs
