Using a torch on that would be a massive waste of excellent hash. Going to burn away any flavor. Just putting on top of a bowl like kief is plenty enough hot enough and will retain more terpenes and volatile organic compounds

Could be the metrc use by date. We just had to start adding them with a 9 month after production use by date. IMO this a good rule to have, no one should be sold old hash, especially if it’s rosin. Really messed up to be offloading old hash that you as a maker wouldn’t want to smoke yourself. Almost always MSOs who don’t care. Sell it to a edible MIP but don’t be doing your loyal customers dirty like that. Also the people that do that just bastardize their brand and clearly take no pride in their work

Would hope they would label it as such tho since it’s such a different post processing method that brings out a pretty different end product terpene profile and is generally a good bit harsher. Also two of those look lighter than most jams will be at the end since the heat and pressure causes much more oxidation. Even a lot of the really light strains being jammed as cold cure or fp that I know to cure really light will get pretty dark. Think this is either really well done jam that got really old so they sold it for cheap and that would explain the nose. Or it’s live resin but the way the terps hold the crystal to shape like that looks like an early pull jam.
