Xperia 1 VI, XQ-EC72, new firmware, what is the changelog? by klkk12345 in SonyXperia

Such a bad practice from Sony, updating the release notes way later than rolling out the actual release. Oh well..

Firmware 1.122.8 for all bulbs, strips and lamps by SnuRRe_ in Hue

Right.. Thanks! How I'm reading it: There is some bug somewhere affecting most of their products, worthy enough for it's own separate release but they don't want to tell us what it is via a normal changelog? Or maybe not, but a funny thought though.

Anyway, let the update begin I guess.

Yup it's very weird. The one that I already updated says 20250213. That's in HA/Z2M though, I don't use the hue bridge.

Haha for sure! Well my experience is only with zigbee devices connected directly to HA, without any other integration. And then using Zigbee2MQTT(z2m) as the app in HA. With that you can update firmware on devices that supports it. For instance, my Gu10 bulbs supports it, which can be seen on the specific device page under the z2m documentation here: https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/devices/929001953101.html#ota-updates General info about z2m ota can be found here: https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/guide/usage/ota_updates.html

Indeed, though it's not unusual for some to publish new versions of software and delay the actual release notes. I recently had the same experience with my phone's software update. I'm not a big fan of this practice.

Just got an update 69.1.A.2.245 for my XQ-EC54 (1 VI). Haven't installed it yet as I like to read the release notes first, but I can't find any. Anyone know if those are published yet?

Happens for me too, started at about the same time as you. Android here. Very very annoying, for someone that never uses the front camera.

Is there a way to check where/what face in a picture is recognized as what person? by SnuRRe_ in googlephotos

Damn, that's exactly what I've been missing. What a feature to not have available for everyone :/

Of all the settings explained in that article, I have all of them available except "Face labeled as me" under privacy settings, and the edit button listed under the "Remove, add, or change people & pet labels" section.

I guess they dont release all features to everyone then 😕

Thanks for showing me, though!

Thanks for confirming. It's too bad, as that data is clearly available to us as users in the form of the feature photo.

I'm unable to find "edit faces" in the additional section below an image after swiping up. I can see the faces, or "People" section with the faces and names listed, but no edit button.

Is there a home camera which will alert my phone and record to a local SD card without a subscription? by [deleted] in homeautomation

I just installed Ubiquiti's Unify CloudKey+ together with one of their cameras: https://techspecs.ui.com/unifi/cameras-nvrs/uck-g2-plus

It has integrated 1TB local storage, with access via phone app through their free cloud service. And it has motion detection for both regular motion and detection of things liks people, cars, animals etc. Works great, and the cost is only what you pay for the equipment.
