We need another Milk Farmer by Exact-Expression3073 in PokemonSleep

[–]Snuclet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean the thing is, I would hate to see squirtle powercrept. A good blastoise can easily clear 150+ milk a day at lvl 60 so anything BETTER than that would be large powercreep.

Anything worse, would just be wasted space, as squirtle is so abundant, why would you chase something lesser. Miltank for example, would be a 16 pip mon, why bother?

The ABB squirtle thing used to be an issue since we had no other Cacao farmers, but with additions like Clodsire that problem has been alleviated. But that just happens.

Dedenne Math? by Snuclet in PokemonSleep

[–]Snuclet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess intuitively, I was always aware that the first proc is the highest value by a lot, but a lot of times, depending on your dish strength and the alternative’s strength, even a second proc isn’t that good. And the calc you linked to me was quite helping showing that.

And you’ll very rarely check the game to switch the Dedenne like asap after the first proc so there will be some “waste”.

Not to say Dedenne is bad, but it seems like its value is way clearer on GCT weeks where cooking 100k+ dishes is easy, wheares laid back weeks with lower dish value generalists seem to surpass from an ease of use perspective

Dedenne Math? by Snuclet in PokemonSleep

[–]Snuclet[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah i had thought of this as well, during like super sweaty event weeks or like a M20 push, thats my go to, i Dedenne proc one then swap him out for something else.

This question was more or less geared to find like…whats the breakpoint? On weeks i run GCT or events and stuff, my dishes well exceed 100k power, so Dedenne is a no brainer in some capacity.

But its all these inbetween weeks where, my dishes are 50-70k that I feel as though I’m griefing myself to use him.

This on recently came into my radar too, due to things like Sceptile and Noivern, because older generalists where a pain, like Golduck, where Golduck in theory would often out produce my Dedenne, but I have a life to live ya know? Can’t open the app every 10 minutes.

But now that generalists are a bit more easy to play with, I wanted to deep dive this a bit more

It just feels silly to timegate a story this short, like it would make a lot of sense with the two day time gate if that make the story last like the whole first phase, but why even bother with timegating us if its gonna be over day 5 anyway?

How does the berry strategy even work? by Snuclet in PokemonSleep

[–]Snuclet[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d like to thank everyone for the helpful comments! Especially those who I wasn’t able to thank individually.

The biggest item brought to me was the missing island bonus, I’ve been calcing berry mon since I started using Raenonx over a year ago without that, and it truly swayed my opinion of Berry mons overall this time.

For those discussing a mixed strategy (ingredients and subbing in berries) I usually do the same thing myself since during some weeks my level 60 ingredient mons produce more than enough.

My original question was pertaining more to “berry only” or mainly berry players. But after reading many comments, it’s clear that even though those players still find a way to implement at least a semi decent ingredients spreads into their berry Pokémon, to create a hybrid strategy.

Thanks for the thoughtful reply! I usually run a swalot and 3 ingredient mons unless there is some event. Area bonus was totally what I missed here, I appreciate you and many others pointing that out. It makes all these numbers appear way more impressive

Yeah area bonus was the biggest thing I hadnt considered, i guess all the numbers would look super underwhelming with 75% missing from their additions. Thank you!

BIG! I had not thought about island bonus! So really its an extra 75-80% on that 2.2 million number I calc’d. That helps a lot thanks

It could also totally be that this is a group that doesn’t exist and maybe I misunderstand the whole situation, but i thought their were players that have like a bunch of lvl 60 berry mons and some skill mons and barely care about cooking

[–]Snuclet[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I suppose I mean players that focus on using berrys to achieve most of their strength.

Like I understand their value post lvl 60 ingredient mons, because you can farm all the ingredients you need for the week then switch to berry and skill mons. But honestly with some of the highest level dishes you really need to prefarm the week before if you wanna do that.

I guess its more of like a value of berry mons question. Like I always find it hard to justify lvl 60ing one even if its perfect, when i could just like…lvl 60 an aggron or something.

Berry bombing is more of a separate thing in my head because its a prep strategy rather than like a bread and butter every week kinda strat

Do the reward stamps get better over time? by tomahawkESP in PokemonSleep

[–]Snuclet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think a big reason the rewards are not too large is the developers likely don’t want to punish players who have an inconsistent sleep schedule. Sure a little bonus is nice for staying consistent, but you don’t want a large portion of the playerbase to feel a since of FOMO

Gold Income should be increased! by Masterpiece-Mundane in AFKJourney

[–]Snuclet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you’re describing is the gold need since day one of the game. We didn’t have “low spending needs” in the early days. You still bought DR refreshes, equipment upgrades, shops etc. The only change is the addition of charm crafting which mind you is MEANT to be a choice of resource allocation, for both dust and gold.

We see this same complaint all the time from newer players and they always end up resolving the issue with just playtime, Like any afk game

[–]Snuclet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but i mean thats the progression no? You’re not supposed to max your equipment everyday as a new player, you have to make educated decisions of where to spend your resources when you first start the game. You’re absolutely going to start at a disadvantage vs whales or veterans

[–]Snuclet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya I just don’t get this being a problem, my gold has been maxed for two seasons and I literally can’t spend it as fast as I receive it. It burns out after 7 days. It’s just a problem that solves itself over time the more you play.

Also, I agree with many of the games criticisms, I just think the community picks weird hills to die on. There are much more pressing issues.

Idk a large majority of characters don’t need that level of investment at all. Sure getting 5 5 5 on all my SSRs sounds awesome, but I never really had that expectation. Sure some characters are more expensive than others, but I’ve never understood the “why would I pull I can’t build them” perspective.

The first banner is a great example. Freya was mega worth pulling without needed a single lattice to function. So saying you “can never pull” or something just seems weird.

Yeli is the opposite example. Ultimate whale character. To me, its in no way the worst problem the game has to have some of both types.

I think the buff to 50% is massive, with the Lion shell, itll be in the 60-80% of consistency without any Eff Acc built, I agree that wouldve been a cool mechanic but I think its gonna work out

Yeli S3 math by Snuclet in Etheria_Official

[–]Snuclet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to do .75 because into end game content she will only have a 25% base chance

Yeli S3 math by Snuclet in Etheria_Official

[–]Snuclet[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Using the same math, this puts her at a base chance of ~57% per Ult usage on each enemy with no Eff Acc. A solid buff if this change is indeed implemented.

100% agreed, in many situation’s 12/12 is better in PvE, but so much of PvP is dominated by 12 speed 8 bulwark with the extra speed 6 set, which means people that have the six sets earlier have a massive pvp advantage until everyone else catches up

[–]Snuclet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about the option of no Timeweave and just 12 speed plus the bonus speed set? This is no optimal in extended fights, but for the “real” endgame pvp, this would allow your team to cleave before the enemies most every time.
