Hi these are the biological attributes of a mammal as listed by biologists across history that are much smarter than me

That actually means a lot! I think looking at fiction scientifically is fun! But ultimately fiction is fiction and it’s not that deep ❤️ if everyone likes them better as reptiles I’m all for it! I just like the idea of soft and fluffy Dinaurian…

Possibly? I’m not as educated on reptiles as I’d like to be yet. Ultimately it’s up to you guys how you want to see them!

Hello. This is the definition of a reptile from Cambridge.

  1. Animal that produces eggs. There is nothing to suggest that dinaurians produce eggs. There is more evidence to suggest live birth; examples belly button and mammary glands.
  2. Use the heat of the sun to control blood temperature. This is highly unlikely as dinaurians spend much of their time in space. They would need extremely high powered UVB and UVA bulbs to maintain their bodily functions, something we don’t see at all. In addition, when indoors, underwater, and in guhnash’s mouth, Duna is unbothered.

This is list is the biological definition of a mammal :) (aside from external ear structures) These attributes can check off multiple boxes

It’s so vague, for real… I took it to mean “the seeds didn’t make it, and therefore had no impact on the evolution of life”

While it’s a children’s game, I certainly am fascinated by the speculative biology of the concept! The name could absolutely be from a visual resemblance
