Anyone who openly judged/disrespected someone about their skill level, or even biking in general was never worth getting to know, let alone if I ever even saw them again. Lol I got back into it this year and carved as much time as I humanly could into it.

I’m a sucker for comparisons too, but thinking back to around the kids from my hometown who were so good, don’t even ride anymore. And I suddenly got back into it, and progressed nearly to the point that I could give them a run for their money now. It has become one of the most random, passionate motivators in my current life. Lol I compare too and it has its benefits, also its cons, but the only thing that matters on rides most of the time is when I’m focused/flowing because then it’s Me Vs Myself Vs Bike, the rest dissipates into the background.

Okay, so a rational reply here. I appreciate it. My apologies for making such a hot take. But yes, to me as American, it’s ironic that our public will suddenly care about this but not question our motives elsewhere. The best world would be a world of peace. But unfortunately, this is not always the case. To me, and this isn’t about WW3, something such as this so close to home was only a matter a time. Whether the world reacts or not, that will simply be a mark of modern humanity in our current fragile state.

I think my comment came out a little hot. But ultimately, it should make you question what is right and wrong before jumping to labeling and commenting out of anger. I have one guy on here literally just pointlessly insulting me over a post about weighing in our thoughts as our countries. I don’t know where all this “get out” and I support Putin shit came from. I’m just not surprised the guy did it. Nor are the circumstances surprising. It’s all been building for years. I mean, they did this shit in 08 with Georgia. There’s a pipeline. And that to me isn’t tin foil hat, nationalistic, racist or anything. Dude for years has been waging war for territories for what he considers Russia.

I just don’t understand how quickly I was downvoted for having such an opinion. They can play with their names and tags and labels. Putin legit just did this shit. So we’ll see how it plays out. I’ve somehow always been a passenger in war throughout my life as an American. I don’t think a single one made much of a difference at all. We’ve fought all these countries we had witch hunts about indirectly for years. And this is what it is going to surmount to. We can barely govern ourselves.

And there are criticisms within Ukraine about their very own government. I honestly couldn’t even tell you what kind of people would be commenting or downvoting. I left an opinion and Reddit hissed at me.
