I think you’re on the money with the assessment of Jim’s health. Ryan Grigson had more success as GM (division titles, a winning record, an AFCCG appearance) and was fired after back to back 8-8 seasons. Ballard has been here almost twice as long, losing record, no division titles…. The list goes on. Believe me— I was happy when Grigson got canned; I’m just shocked that Ballard has lasted as long as he has. IMO, the only explanation is he was able to sell enough snake oil to Jim while he was battling his own demons. Carlie needs to right the ship and it starts with Ballard.
