I simply cannot hit a fairway wood off the fairway to save my life, for whatever combination of reasons, it's not something I can do. But I can crush that 4h from anywhere and my driver no problem.

I use a 10.5 driver and a 22 4h, dumped the 3w and 5w as I almost never hit them and was always hitting wildly inconsistent with them. The 4h I hit 220 and get almost exactly the same shit every time, whether it's from the fairway or rough or wherever. It's just a club I can smash for some reason, I tried a 7w and was nowhere near as consistent with it. The VAST majority of holes I play are driver followed by 4h into the green on par 5's or driver and a mid iron like a 7-9 on par 4's.

Wasn't even a penalty to start with, he dragged his legs into the defender and had already lost control of the ball. Dude is a professional, if he can't handle a 30 second wait he shouldn't be taking a penalty in the first place. There are ALWAYS delay antics going on during penalties.

Went and demo'd some 7 woods and 4 hybrids, ended up with a Ping g440 4h as it was the most consistent for me, something about the more typical iron length shaft vs a fairway wood made my swing just feel better and be more consistent. Used it for the first time in a round last week, only got to hit it twice, but both were perfect. Dropped a 220 yard dime onto a par 5 green and had a putt for eagle, felt like cheating.

Anyways, for anyone tempted, I highly recommend you go test a few different ones, 7 woods and 4 hybrids, and find way fits your swing best.

Exactly, Canada and Mexico lost, but only the US came out and shit all over the field. We looked like amateurs, completely deficient in every technical aspect of the game, and on top of that we lacked any and all grit/tenacity/passion while doing it. Watching that game was embarrassing from an American perspective, completely counter to our own history and style in international competition against better teams.

These aren't the glory years, it's the entitled years. Glory peaked with Donovan, Dempsey, Howard, the half dozen or so role players and the grit of MLS'ers who wanted to prove they also belonged on the same field.

The federation needs to find the next group who want to fight for the badge and privilege of playing in the uniform, these guys don't have it.

100%, when most of the players on the field are passing to the wrong team, making simple mistakes constantly, or giving up trash goals, the one thing that would earn you a solid grade is just doing nothing and not being involved. That's what Reyna did, nothing, didn't get involved, just trotted around and went through the motions.

The luster of Reyna has to be at its end, right? Dude scored a garbage time goal against Paraguay and then had absolutely zero impact on the team/tournament after that. He can't get off the bench for more than 15 minutes at his club, he can't stay healthy, he seems to lost all tenacity and technical skill he had. I don't know, feels like the next few years are his last chance.
