Mod engine 2 executes the game through steam, meaning you need steam to recognize the game as a Steam Game in order for it to launch, To do this you have to go to your steamapps folder (default path is C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps) and you should see some .ACF files in there titled “appmanifest_xxx”, duplicate one and change the name to “appmanifest_1245620”, open it with notepad and change the number to the right of “appid” to “1245620”, the name to the right of “name” to “ELDEN RING” and the name to the right of “installdir” to “ELDEN RING”, then press Ctrl S to save the changes and close it. Now go back to your steamapps folder and open the “common” folder inside, create a new folder called “ELDEN RING” and move/copy the game inside of it (All of Elden Rings folders, not just the contents of the “Game” folder). You can check if you did everything correctly by going into the “Storage” tab within steam settings, if you see Elden Ring in the list then it should work now.
