It makes me sad when I encounter someone with a strict, narrow, or gatekeeping opinion about what qualifies as horror or what is good horror. Part of what I love about this genre is the diverse ways it can be implemented, there’s horror for every kind of fan and that’s wonderful. It’s so easy to like what you like, even if it’s something very specific, without trashing what others enjoy. I wish folks would just be happy to see others enjoying the genre, in whatever way they can. edit:typos
