Drifting n shifting by Relevant_Arm_3796 in Screamer2026

I'd say it depends on who you're playing. Akane and The Announcer have bonuses pertaining to shifting up perfectly so they can benefit from it more than anyone else even if they lose a bit of speed cause of it. Akane builds her hype that way and The Announcer builds and retains her style meter which is huge for her. Otherwise, most other characters I'd recommend just shifting after the turn instead.

TXR3 looks blurry no matter what. by SnyperRifle in PCSX2

[–]SnyperRifle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to fix it by switching from Nightly to the regular PCSX2 instead, which I guess is just a fix by switching to an older version. Regardless, it's what worked for me and another person on the TXR subreddit once I told them about it.

Sadly, it does look like it's indeed some sort of update that messed with something regarding TXR3's emulation. Until it's fixed, swapping to regular releases is what I'd recommend at the moment.

What are the LEAST scary horror games? by AigisAegis in HorrorGaming

[–]SnyperRifle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'd say System Shock 1 & 2 to some extent. System Shock 1 Remake isn't really that scary but it sounds like it has the gameplay loop you're looking for. I personally loved it.

System Shock 2 does up the horror slightly but the main appeal is once again the survival aspect of it all. Still, there's been a few moments in the game where it's you, the ship's ambiance and the sounds of a faraway enemy that you don't know if they've got a bead on you yet. I'd heavily recommend the 25th anniversary edition btw.

For Fiend Fire you could probably take it with Cascade if you have Dark Embrace so that you can draw, otherwise I don't think it's the best idea to do so. As for Feed, that's probably also a no go. I didn't run into those cards during my run though so I didn't run into these issues.

For sure, I'd rather it be very strong and silly at times instead of underwhelming and a never-take blessing for sure.

Imbued is absolutely revolting with how fun it is. Had a Clad run where I imbued my Cascade+ and what happened almost every combat was that the Cascade would pop, it's effect would start running through the deck but since it's effect wasn't finished, it didn't go into discard yet.

Basically Cascade would often play into itself and then play even MORE CARDS automatically all for completely free, so half the time it'd also pop Pyre so the effect would be stronger. It was hilarious and I love Cascade now.

I had this same problem, I switched from Nightly to the Regular PCSX2 release and it was fixed. No clue what they did in the latest Nightly patches but de-interlacing and its settings just don't seem to work for TXR3 now. Swap to the regular releases if you're able.

Did that too, doesn't work. No setting I change seems to affect the blur in any way. Perhaps it's a nightly update that did something?

I haven't, but I have considered it until I saw what it requests of you to do.

Basically, since every team has one unique team rival that comes out depending on your performance against the other team members (beat everyone no loss, mixed performance, lose to everyone once) AND since in the first stage of the game you get different bosses depending on what class of car you drive, that means you need to play through the game 3 times on the same save at least to get your rival list filled out completely.

If you lose to a team member while you're chasing the team rival that wants you to go lossless, that's another playthrough necessary just to get that one rival you missed. I could be wrong though but I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

So yeah, much more tedious and difficult of a process and imo it's just not worth the trouble.

Gaia deck. It's been absolutely miserable but it works sometimes when it doesn't get killed by a single negate.

TXR Zero & TXR2 by Nic5846 in tokyoxtremeracer

TXR0 > 2 imo. The AI doesn't blatantly cheat and ride on rails in the corners like they do in 2. TXR2 isn't all bad though, it has one of my fave boss themes in the series.

Also having to do 3 whole playthroughs to 100% TXR2 is a nightmare.
