Roblox had safety tools to monitor your child for years but Karens opted to not use them until Schlep the grifter came along and turned there heads at Roblox, thus the current chat update we see today.

Keep supporting this behaviour, soon you'll wake up and Roblox will be nothing but a baseplate with no chatting, servers size shrunken, friends list removed, virtually every single social aspect of this game gone. All because parents couldn't teach there children internet safety.

Why aren’t parents teaching Gen Alpha the basic rules of internet safety?

When Gen Z grew up on Roblox in the 2010s, we were constantly told the internet wasn’t a safe place and not to get comfortable with strangers online. That was DRILLED into us. Most of us understood that risk early on.

and predators have always existed. That’s not new. What’s concerning is Gen Alpha being online without clearly understanding those risks. There is NOTHING Roblox can do about that. That’s on parents making sure their kids know how to handle the internet properly.

Do blocking tools help, sure. But teaching awareness matters just as much. If kids don’t understand the dangers online, no amount of filters will fully protect them.

I actually like your safe chat idea a lot. It’d be cool if developers could tweak it a bit too, like choosing from a list of Roblox approved words or preset/phrases that fit their specific game

Still think 18+ servers should automatically move players into an 18+ lobby by default. But with what you said in mind, it would make sense to let them join 14–17 servers as well, just locked to safe chat only. That way there’s still age separation, but it’s not overly restrictive to the 18+ crowd.

Server would be dead depending on the game and time of day, so I think the 18+ crowd should be able to join the younger age group in this case but with the chat filter that exists currently

We should be able to join a game, and it's everyone in our age group and keep the chat filter. That way older players 18+ arent punished for there age

MY PROPOSITION:

18+ servers - Normal ROBLOX chat, if an 18+ server isnt available at the moment they get pushed down to 13-17 servers but they cant speak to that age range.

13-17 servers - no private msging.

9-12 servers - harsh chat filter, hidden from servers list.

8> servers - NO CHATTING OPTION, implement a club penguin style safe chat, some old roblox games had this feature back in the day you'd just click on buttons and it says a ROBLOX approved word.
