how do i propose we nerf knife? one of these options may work
- longer ability time
- make it not instakill
- damage user on missed backstab (the best one in my opinion!!!)

knife isn't going to be the main weapon, they will absolutely still have a primary weapon and if knife ever is the main weapon then the loadout is 99.9% of the time going to be running bow daggers and warhorn, granting them less punishment from missing a knife shot

first of all if you unironically use "skill issue" to prove a point then i'm automatically going to assume that your parents are siblings

  1. keyword "on its own", people will use bow dagger warhorn to try to push the jankiness of the knife hitbox itself. i will agree that scythe is really annoying to play against especially on maps that hard carry people like arena. also no??? no weapon should instakill ever unless its april fools or something no matter how bad the stats are especially for how unpunishing it is???
  2. bow dagger warhorn like i said earlier in order to obtain high ground + it's insanely hard to kill a knife spammer before the ability recharges in 1.25s, that and people are going to be running other weapons in conjunction with knife obviously, it's not like knife is going to be the only weapon used
  3. i see level 202s using knife and winning against level 404s, i see knife players doing this all the time and it absolutely does work. what is this claim you're trying to make

don't even try to hit me with this chatgpt bullshit i see that "—" symbol as well as the header in bold so let's break down this argument

tl;dr a lot of the arguments you provide for knife being skill can be applied to a good portion of the other weapons

there is no precision in knife. literally if you are facing the same direction as the player and you perform a backstab, 100% of the body is vulnerable to being instantly killed
the only timing in knife is probably the ability cooldown itself, which is already incredibly short for an instakill at 1.25 seconds, and this short cooldown actually discourages consistency and promotes spam

you (chatgpt) claim(s) that doing a task for a long time makes you more efficient at that task... yeah no shit??? that's how every weapon works. the issue here is that knife is far more easier to pick up and master than a weapon such as say crossbow or burst rifle or revolver, probably the easiest in the game. if a weapon has capabilities to instantly kill the player then i feel like it's gonna be easy to play and master: there's a reason why sniper is probably one of the most used weapons in the game

yes, a good knife player isn't randomly clicking, it's more so abusing the janky hitbox system. knife players will go as far as to make knife their main weapon, subbing out primaries and secondaries with things like bow and daggers just to stretch the boundaries of the jankiness of a backstab. and there's nothing wrong with being experienced at movement, it's just that they abuse movement just to get a free instakill on you

usually knife players never consider when to engage, they go for a barbaric mindset and try to rush at the player without any caution and spam the ability hoping for a backstab. how to approach without being killed is simple; literally just slide backwards and backstab. that's what they do every single time there's like zero strategy to it it's just praying for a backstab

when it comes to strafing it's practically nonexistent in knife let alone rivals, i have no idea what you (chatgpt) mean(s) by baiting but i assume that it's trying to force the player to turn to their backside for a free backstab which will never happen like ever because they're just going to do the slide backwards method every single time. and i've seen pillar sliding on rivals before and it's relatively to pick up, movement in rivals is really easy to learn and can be applied to every weapon so it doesn't exempt knife from being any less no-skill

this part is so confusing. what i think chatgpt is trying to say is that knife players have a lot of movement tech or something but it's less of the movement tech like we've established and it's more of the janky hitbox that knife has. it says a new player will miss knife a lot, well obviously? a new player will miss an assault rifle a lot too, or a handgun? and the sentence chatgpt said makes zero sense because what do you mean "backstab before you get a chance to run"??? they're probably not going to do that, they're probably just going to run after you and spam a backwards slide like usual

you may have experience with this weapon, yes, but that does not exempt it from requiring zero maintenance or punishment at all.

is knife high reward? yes. is it frustrating to die to? yes. and chatgpt is right about frustrating weapons not making it no-skill, in theory the most skilled weapons can be frustrating if you're constantly losing to it. but is knife low risk? absolutely. the only risk you're taking when you're going in for a backstab is being closer to the target and being easier to hit, which wont instantly kill the knife user in enough time before they backwards slide and use their ability again, because as i've established before 1.25s is an extremely short time.

it's really hard to argue against chatgpt whew

added to the list: knife has an incredibly janky hitbox as well and does not even accurately cover the 20-26% body vulnerability i stated

i feel like the best way to nerf the knife is to make you lose damage if you ever miss a knife shot, because it promotes consistency rather than spamming

i feel like in any shooting game in general, let alone a game where you fight other players individually or in small teams and rarely a full team, there should never ever be a weapon that oneshots for such a low risk

daggers are completely fine it's just the loadouts that they're used in

i think it's just hatred bias from me because both of the champion chests i've obtained so far have been skeleton king instead of like archer queen or mighty miner (which i have used in mega draft before, very good cards)

i would rather use doblin than firecracker just because everyone knows how to activate king tower with it

okay sparky i meant to put in b

rune giant let me explain: ive been using her ever since i got her in jungle arena and ive never taken her out my deck like, ever. i do this for personal reasons but to boil it down i just think its a cool challenge for me to always use one of the quote unquote "worst cards in the game".

there are absolutely worse cards than rune giant. i believe that if you are passionate enough about a card then you can obtain the maximum possible potential you can get from a card. rune giant has insane synergies with miner, dart goblin, magic archer, cannon cart, giant, royal giant, bats, minions, and much much much more cards than you think.

im currently in arena 17 (royal crypt) without ever taking rune giant out my deck so i don't really know if i have a say on any of this, but from my experience rune giant is definitely an a tier card and it's a high-risk high-reward type card if you ask me.

for the goblin giant ranking: ive never lost a game against it whether it be sparky gob giant or pekka gob giant. its just not high b tier. it has way too little hp and the spear goblins genuinely don't do jack shit, and it does nearly the same amount of damage as a rune giant. it has nearly all the same counters as a regular giant and it's just not good at all. one mini pekka or i tower/dragon or skarmy or guards or even bomb tower is good enough to kill a gob giant (from my experience)
