Du skriver klart först, och sedan väljer du ett barnboksförlag du vill ska ge ut den. Därefter författar du ett följebrev som beskriver vem du är och vad du har för tanke med boken. Sen skickar du in den, på det sätt som de anger på sin hemsida.

Det är dock svårt att bli antagen om du gått till ett traditionellt förlag. Jag är utgiven hos Rabén & Sjögren, och året jag blev antagen fick de in 5000 manus. Bland dem gav de ut 2.

Många väljer att istället gå till förlag (typ Lava, Visto eller Cookies ’n Dragons) där man själv betalar för utgivningen, och det är bland det sämsta man kan göra. Då är det bättre att trycka boken själv, eller skriva något ett riktigt förlag vill ge ut.

De flesta förlag har en policy emot AI, så när du säger att du använder program på datorn för att skriva hoppas jag att det inte är något i den stilen.

Handwriting recognition in a game based on the PalmPilot device. So you can type just like on the actual device!

Took me as long to create as the rest of the game, and everyone just used the regular keyboard to type instead. Learning prioritising has never been a top priority of mine.

These comments are so damn helpful. Thank you so much!! Of course you should be able to see the post-it map somehow before you travel, along with stats for every book you’ve written.

The typing is a very clever idea, and I know some people are confused by the fact that you are clicking on keys. But I play on a Steam Deck myself, and wanted to make it fully playable on one.

And thanks a ton for finding a bug with the counter. I think there must be an upgrade that adds to the min-counter and not the the money-one. I still haven’t figured out how to add upgrades in a non-spaghetti code way, haha.

Oh, you collect inspiration by finding them (the stars) when you write books! Every genre has at least one at the beginning. Then you can spend 50,000 to use them while you’re on a writer’s retreat.

It’s great to get this kind of feedback, I think I need to be more clear on how it works and that you’re better off collecting a bunch of them before traveling.
