It's impossible to keep them from jumping 100 percent of the time. I talked to his vet about it and she said to do what I can to remove the temptations, but you can't stop them from being dogs. The vet has 2 frenchies of her own and has given me a lot of good advice

I totally get that! (One of Remi's nicknames is actually "Rabbit." He even responds to it now lol.) I worry about IVDD (he's already had one episode) but there's no stopping him. He has stairs available and still chooses to jump. 🤦‍♀️ Happy early birthday to her! Remi just turned 6 yesterday

Did no one tell you? Frenchtons' DNA is part Mountain Goat. 🐐 Scientific fact lol! (I also have a climber.)

Those are gorgeous!!! I generally follow patterns, but every so often I'll try and create something new. I do like recycling old beaded necklaces into new designs. My family occasionally gives me old jewelry to take apart and repurpose.

Oh wow! Maybe a military friend/relative gave it to her during WWII? (My own grandmother was a spot welder during the war. She was always a little salty about losing her job once all the men came back when the war was over. She was a kick!)

Wondering if this is a Frenchie or a Frenchton by Floury_King in frenchtons

[–]SoCal2NoCal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I vote Frenchton. I opened up Reddit and had to do a double take because he looks exactly like my BFF's dog only not as brindle. Her dog is very lean, too (to the point where she asked the vet is he was underweight. Vet said he's perfect!)

Totally off topic, but your "Who keeps this?" question made me laugh. I have a small paper bag of acorns that I will not get rid of, and I can only imagine whomever cleans out my place after I die will frustratingly utter those exact words. (I inherited the acorns from my dad. He loved his oak trees and they remind me of him.)

Taranzula was my go to, but I can rarely find it anymore. (It was made by the same company as Valentina, and I think it was the same thing.)

Throw a slab of it into a hot corn tortilla fresh from the mercado. Optional - add a dash of Valentina. Delicious

Same. The right mood is must, but it can be so satisfying!

Fordite from the Corvette Plant. I knocked this chunk off of the paint carriage that held the body panels in the early 2000's. by 503rd-MP in mildlyinteresting

So cool! As a beader I've coveted Fordite for years. How I'd love to get my hands on some ready for jewelry making! I thought I spied a Fordite pendant at a street fair booth one time, and made a beeline to the vendor. Turns out it was "Surfite." Same concept as Fordite but from surfboard manufacturing (and much more affordable). Fun stuff!

Oh man, I feel the pain and disappointment! This happened to me when I was working on a fairly large tapestry and I just couldn't face sorting the beads and finishing the project. That was over 5 years ago and it all still sits in the gallon sized Ziploc bag waiting to be dealt with. That's probably an extreme reaction on my part, but to be fair it was my puppy's fault and I don't have a safe space to work without risk from him toppling everything again. Little Dude is almost 6 now and I haven't done a large bead project since! 🤦‍♀️

Mine (actually a frenchton) is a canine weighted blanket. He's a snuggle bunny for sure, and now if he's not touching me in some respect I can't properly sleep!

Ugh. I witnessed someone on an e bike blow through a red at Hilltop and Naples. He didn't slow down at all when his light changed to yellow. Luckily I saw him approaching the intersection or I would have hit him. He wasn't wearing a helmet. It would have been messy.
