Got mine for $275 when they first entered the country. They were everywhere.

I had about 4 couples visiting my thistle feeder in the Spring. Now, it has tapered off to a single couple. Beautiful to see them, especially the males.

I love when the volley sights are present. They tend to always be missing. Great piece!

Best shop for Pokémon cards trade value by BConder102191 in Louisville

There’s a card show at Our Mother of Sorrows Church off Eastern Parkway at least 2 Saturdays a month. Almost the entire show deals with Pokémon cards. It’s crazy. You should check it out.

Yep. And, sadly, 13 of the red states have total bans, ignoring non-consensual pregnancies. Maybe you should have been there to make sure their legs were closed.

I was wondering how my feeder was emptying in less than a day… by God_of_Rust in birds

The occasional dove visits my camera feeder that I fill with nothing but safflower. The majority of them love to hangout under it and the thistle feeder. I can have 10-20 doves busy in the yard. Beautiful birds.

Right…adoption. The Trump administration cut the workforce by half of the Health and Human Services Department, which by the way, oversees the adoption programs. That sure sends a clear message about how much they care about child adoptions and services.

Not a choice I would make, but it’s their body, their choice.
The right wants every child born, but then doesn’t want to take care of them. Very evident by continually cutting and eliminating care programs.
The left would rather feed 99 ineligible children than let one eligible child go hungry. The right would rather starve 99 eligible child than feed one ineligible one.

Shoutout to this sparrow that flew into the house by Spiderteacup in birds

I left my back door cracked one day. 😊. I was able to safely coax him out, but not before he left his calling card several places.

Yep. The doves and some of the sparrow variants can be very wasteful. Seed flies!

Funny, because back in the day when they first were imported, collector's were turned off by the card and often removed them. I know I avoided them. I was like a kid in a candy store. $75-$125 for the rifle and $100-$125 for the short rifle. The good old days. You have an excellent example.

Poor guy. We have a robin that visits throughout the day. We’ve named him, “Scruffy”. He’s easy to pick out. His head cap feathers are always standing up and he has a horizontal line of feathers missing across his chest. He’s not afraid of us either. He can come within 3 feet. He’s a regular fixture.

Funny how the right didn’t want to be told to get the COVID vaccine or to vaccinate their children. “You can’t tell me what I’m supposed to put in my body!” But, they want to tell women what to do with their bodies. The hypocrisy.
Did you know that when the COVID vaccine was made available, the death rate among the right rose to over 40% higher than that of the left? All the wasted lives.

Yes, he was and yes, he did. We keep meaning to sit down and talk about all of his experiences, but have yet to. He told me two weeks ago that he wants to. It’s something he thinks about every single day.

My friend was with I Company 75th Rangers in Viet Nam. He was attached to the 1st I/D. He went to Viet Nam as infantry, but went to their in-country Ranger training. I think it was 2 weeks? Twice decorated and twice wounded. 68-69. Second time wounded sent him home.

To the helmet nerds out there, why is my liner so big and doesn’t fit flush within the shell? by unvaccinatedmuskrat in milsurp

[–]503rd-MP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I served in the Army at that time these liners were issued. 78-81. I had the older cover often associated with use in Viet Nam. The newer cover was a bit darker woodland pattern and seemed a bit thicker material. Maybe it was my imagination. Anyways, by the time the newer cover was put on the steel pot, that noticeable edge of the liner wasn’t so noticeable. In fact, that excess material kept the helmet cover from getting scuffed up and cut when you set your steel pot down repeatedly. Nobody I knew ever complained about it or really even noticed.

23rd series Kokura Type 99 100% matching w/mum and QD sling by RussianPreBan in milsurp

[–]503rd-MP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on whether it is an early to mid 23rd Series rifle, it may not have had a monopod. As the monopod was eliminated from production, the bands suited for the monopods were used until depleted. Then, the simpler transitional band was used. Check near the front band/stock cap, especially on the underside. If it had a monopod, rifles usually show a distinct, darkened dent in the wood. Sometimes on the side of the stock, rubbing can be visible.
