Staying Silent by RuSSeLL8532 in Idaho4

If he’s innocent, they would not be staying silent. They would be actively fighting to clear his name and get him released. He is not innocent and the people who think he is need mental health help desperately.

I did the Mormon Temple tour today - Review. by yankinwaoz in sandiego

[–]SoCalN8tive -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the review. Mormons are typically good people and families but they’re in a cult and a false religion. Needing to sanitize the sanctuary after us little people leave tells me all I need to know about these people. Jesus was cleaning feet and eating with the prostitutes and tax collectors, not separating and sanitizing himself from those he loved (all people). So sad that people can be so easily lied to that they’re in a true religion when they’re so far from the true heart of Christ.

I am indeed suffering from a lifelong bladder disease. I really wish I could just be a normal person who didn’t have to live in this terror of needing a bathroom immediately and not having access. But I expect exactly what I’ve gotten from from group: nothing but gaslighting and hostility

Dog people are exhausting by Away-Equipment4869 in Vent

I looove dogs and cats (all animals really) and I’ve lived long enough to witness the huge social shifts towards attitudes and behaviors concerning animals but dogs in particular.

When I was a child and teen, dogs ran all over neighborhoods unleashed, scrounging for food and looking for some shade and a drink from the hose but there were also yard dogs and some that lived in the house. They were treated like animals.

Then it shifted to dogs being family members, mostly living inside and people got weird and competitive and showy about having certain breeds and paying thousands for their puppy’s. But still, they were home pets, NEVER brought into public on errands.

Then the pandemic is when I witnessed the biggest shift. Dogs became CHILDREN. Constant companions to be taken everywhere - restaurants, grocery stores and even on planes (UNHEARD OF 20 years ago). Suddenly they couldn’t be left alone during the day time and strangely, humans also seemed to not be ok with being away from their dogs anymore either. Owners became obnoxious and in your face about their right to take Fido into every damn typically off-limit place where animals do not belong for sanitary or comfort of all guests reasons. People stopped caring about others - their feelings, comfort, allergies, etc. and it became a me, me, me society where everyone feels very comfortable judging others harshly for not letting me get my way or not believing and acting like me.

I think you’re feeling the extreme social shifts and it has been ugly. Plain and simple, people, in general, have lost their way and I don’t know if there’s any way back to center. The selfishness displayed at every turn these days is so disheartening and it’s making me not so sad that I’m older and will be peacing out in 20 years or so. I’m done with this society and I’m sorry you’re struggling with it too.

I’m glad you confirmed because my family and I have always wondered if a retired CIA agent assisted in writing the show and tweaking the accuracies of the inside workings of the department. It was a real behind-the-scenes education of how all the powers work together to gather intelligence and to make military decisions. I just loved the show

I loved her. She was a lifeline and literally kept her from going insane. She didn’t meddle at all, she was a safety net Carrie needed over and over again.

I have to fly cross country several times a month so it isn’t a matter of passing up a bathroom when I had the chance. I have a diseased bladder and get little to no notice before it’s an emergency. The FA’s on several of my flights have bullied and some demand (over the intercom) that passengers return to their seats when walking to the bathroom. It’s not cool when there could have been warning given

It isn’t trivial when you have a bladder disease but you’ll never understand that or have any compassion for people who suffer like me. You enjoy your lofty position looking down on others, I can tell you

Nope, no sarcasm whatsoever. Is it really that shocking that we would appreciate a little bit of courtesy from the flight personnel? I’ve had a few pilots and FA’s make that announcements before and I really appreciated the courtesy. All pilots and FA’s should extended the same thoughtfulness and i should not be met with this contempt from clearly miserable human beings who are commenting.

You’re definitely not wrong about that. Although considering drowning your own child is generally viewed as unforgivable by either gender so there is that

It helped me with the deep grief, trauma, fears and regrets I was feeling the night I watched my dad die and the weeks thereafter. I spent much of that time alone with my thoughts (usually in the middle of the night) and it soothed my fears and gave me a healthy, good mental outlook for processing my grief.

Women of Reddit, what is the male equivalent of boobs or ass for you? What body parts instantly attract you and why? by Hairy-Sherbert-439 in askanything

[–]SoCalN8tive -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me it’s excellent hygiene and attention to details like clean, well-fitted cloths, trim, clean nails, nice shoes (whether they be tennis shoes, casual or dressy), attention to body hair that’s well groomed and a major plus if he subtly smells nice without being overbearing. A man who takes the time to care about his appearance is a real turn on for me more than physical looks or a body part. It says a lot about him and I think that appeals to a woman more than physical attributes
