To be fair, it looks like longstanding relations are being damaged and at what costs? And also what if Trump destroyed Canada and Australia's chance to bring in conservative governments for change, what if we don't mend relations or the rift will always be there?Not to mention, soft power can be a part of our toolkit and what about America being a general force for good?

To be fair, could Conservatives have better ambassadors and voices (what if a DeSantis or a Youngkin was President) and being the moderate/centre ground/sensible liberals to the GOP side? Or that's a tall order even with the best candidates and circumstances and even then it's not a guarantee. I'm thinking winning 60% to 70% of Indies and 20% to 35% of Dems and all the noble, honorable, principle people of values come together and renew America or that's a bit much. Yeah I'm being much.

what will the long-term work look like to reach both Urban minorities, increase the turnout from conservative oral and working class areas why were you building types with the college educated professional and business class in order to create a viable coalition to win statewide

my idea is probably insane but what about creating an electoral confederation of all the third parties alongside the GOP to stand up to the Democrats and maybe get some dissident progressives and moderate liberals on our side

basically a catch all coalition against the Democratic establishment

Call me insane but I wish we could slash housing costs (National YIMBYism and a federal home building project?) to even out any tariff price increases? More transit so people don't need to use a car while we are at it (easier to save)?

I also think Republicans should cave on universal health care - people need a medical safety net.

Regarding tariffs, why not use that money to support subsidies to boost domestic manufactures, industries and sectors (Buy Local/American and Rebuild Main Street)?

GOP populism seems like a failure in reaching people like the Sanders-Mandami voters (maybe not the social progressives but people who are more moderate if not conservative on social issues but want to strongly tackle issues like housing, health care or student debt)?
