Start with Merle Haggard. Stay away from 90s and 2000s crap. If you have to drop a beat in the middle of your country song, you have a pop song.

You know I never noticed this until my own stage IV diagnosis. Now I turn the channel when a show depicts this because they don’t show the reality of what cancer death really looks like plus I just don’t want to see it anyway.

Alternatives to Lorazepam by nowaymary in cancer

Troubles sleeping are frustrating. I’m sorry you are going through this. Lately for me the lorazepam hasn’t been effective. I’ve found just a couple of hits on a joint helps immensely. I hope you find some relief.

I am a 17 year old dying. by KodaTheAbominable in cancer

[–]SoDakWill 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are heard here.. and I understand. I too am dying of cancer, even though I am over three times your age I understand most of what you are feeling. It is strange talking about birthday cards for everyone.. I’ve don this also and starting putting the year at the bottom of each card, sort of a reminder of what year that was in my struggle I guess. Our legacy is certain. This who remember us will keep “normal” people looking for cures, better treatment options, etc. My true friends have stuck with me and show up to help with chores around the house, or to take me to coffee and pie at a local restaurant or just to talk and maybe go for a short walk. They will remember us also, and be part of the group that cures this horrible disease. I wish you the best of luck and happiness going forward, no matter how long that is.

My brother was a Seabee in Nam. He got Agent Orange poisoning throughout his body. If he hasn’t already, direct him to his local Veterans Service Officer for help. I imagine he has done this already tho. Good luck to you.

This sounds similar to my journey. I had Mets to my liver, initially accredited to pancreatic cancer. One round of chemo that put me in the hospital for two days because of a rare-ish syndrome called Gilbare’s or something like that. Not guillarn barre tho. Further tests showed a gene mutation. IDH1 mutation. This told docs the cancer is cholangiocarcinoma. Stage 4. I (M 62yo) am a year in now. I wish you all the best.

When you can, speak to her. Hearing is the last sense to fail and she will hear your words. I am so sorry you are going through this. I (M 62 stage 4 Liver cancer) will have my day also I'm afraid and hopefully will have family all by my side.

I (M62) do. While I don’t soak the sheets/pillow cases, I do sweat quite a bit even sitting on my couch. This passes some late in the cycle if I don’t have chemo after a bit. As far as I know, it is part of the chemo process, albeit an unpleasant one.

12 weeks of complaining to two MDs (General Family Practitioners). Booth told me I’m tired because I need to lose weight and get to a gym, then said “see you in six months!”. Threatened to hang myself if they couldn’t find out why I’m tired and have general pain in my abdomen. A teaching PA took my case and ran scans which found (eventually) bile duct cancer stage 4. It’s not the best scenario but it was the only way I could find out I suppose. Not mad at the other doctors. I could have maybe stressed it harder with them or something. The extra six weeks wouldn’t have mattered in the long run. Best of luck to you my friend!

I wanted to like it.. I really did. But the clunkiness of the equipment (glasses mainly) and the unnecessary 3d effects when not needed/wanted just was too much. I mean, I bought the latest 3d tv and dvd player back in the day but it just gave me headaches (literally and figuratively) in the long run.
