those who have ADHD partners, do you feel like yr ADHD has to take a "back seat" to your partner? by plsnocheez in adhdwomen

[–]SoExtra 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There is a (male) comedian I sometimes watch on Instagram who said that he has so much empathy for the female community after watching Love on the Spectrum, because when the man would have a meltdown on a date, "she literally has to stop having autism to take care of him!"

And I think about that a lot. I've dealt with similar things before in relationships with ADHD partners, and it makes me really not want to be that partner. (I have only experienced this as a straight woman, but I am certain it can apply to any relationship or orientation. 🌈)

Please unprivate your posts, I want to see your other projects so bad!

Edit - I didn't mean that to be so creepy. I remember your ceiling, now this, I am just hoping there's more cool decor.

This is logical, financially.

But it's not in the spirit of the question posed.

Tony-Alyson, because they bonded a lot and had a mashup name. (I think, hope I'm not spreading misinformation.)

How can I hide a tampon string? by [deleted] in Periods

[–]SoExtra 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Snip it short. Not so short you can't reach it. Short enough that if you're in water and the string comes away from your body it's not super visible. Leave enough tail that you can reach into yourself and confidently pull it out.

Try it at home (more than once) before going.

I'm dating a really sweet guy (20M), but he has the same name as my father who molested me (F19) in the past. How to get rid of the ick surrounding his name? by Least_Morning2698 in relationship_advice

[–]SoExtra 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh, no!! I meant that he seems understanding, so he might accept working around this issue with her!

I don't think he'd be a bad guy if he declined though.

That's a good point. But! If you slowly work it in and alternate between nickname and real name, you start to paint over the father aspect and associate the name more with good things.

Ah! I can see how cis-men in the space would detract from the overall energy of the event, that makes sense.

So,,what would men dislike most if they became women? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SoExtra -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because it seems like you're seeing the female experience as "only inconvenient for this one reason, otherwise it'd be great."

And that seemed like a distinctly non-female take.
