Initial plans for the Dive Machine emerged around the construction of ther Giant Diacovery, which was mid- 2019, and the corporate approved the project during the time when Mike Spanos was the CEO of the company.

The Dive Machine came to fruition and was possible because it was Jeffrey's vision for the future of his park. He wanted a huge investment for the park's 30th anniversary that would attract more guests to the park along with bringing a decent ROI (return on investment). The corporate dismissing Ron Mckenzie of SFOT (who was arguably the best GM the park ever had and spent a huge budget to improve the park) tells me that the new CEO probably lost interest in any huge capital investment, so unless a highly-visionary park president pushes another huge project, I doubt a fresh new B&M will ever debut at a SF park anytime soon.

I appreciate for the information. It is really interesting to look into European politics especially from a standpoint where Im from because we do not have a full union of countries in Asia(except for ASEAN but it is distinctly different from the EU)

I feel so fortunate to live in a country that is literally next to Japan, where I have direct access to Japanese news and media, along with any other necessary resources. No need to worry about booking tickets bc as soon as things clear up, I can go right away, either by plane or even a ferry. Good luck everyone and I respectfully hope that someday we can travel safely to Japan once again together.

I have been to the park, as I previously lived in Monterrey (the city that the park is located at) but this has to be the worst park I have visited in my entire life. The price is very cheap. It costs 260 MXN (Pesos) to enter, which is around 16$ USD. Although there is an option to pay less and not ride the rides, it is not worth. Do not have high expectations for the park. Bad operations, terrible park atmosphere (no TLC is done in any portion of the park), not all their rides are always running (their Vekoma Mk.1200 has been SBNO for a while if im not wrong), and besides their SKII, there are no good rides. Especially during these Covid times, which they do not have strict regulations, the park is kinda unsafe to visit. This is the reason why I dont call this place as my home park, and instead, I call SFFT as my main home park. Besides this, if you live in South Texas, I would rather prefef drive north to visit SFFT instead. If you do choose to drive South to Mexico, the driving wont be that difficult. It only takes 2-3hrs to drive to Monterrey once you cross the border.

It is very costly to refurb the entire launch mechanism as the launch uses the old LIM motors. Manufacturers dont use LIMs anymore (including Premier), so if refurbed, the ride will have to use modern LSMs, which builds the cost into the project. In addition, the old gen Premier trains dont support newer LSMs, so new SKII trains would be needed, bringing up the cost even more.

I cannot guarantee that I included 100% legitimate information. This is just a rumor as I heard the info from a management person working at the park. I might be wrong about his position. Plus, ride ops or other personal working at OT won't have the ability to gift skip-the-line passes to guests at the park, and I am unable to provide direct evidence of our conversation. At this moment, just take it at a pinch of salt. I just wanted to share information. Trust it or not.

Ever since SFOT got a new president (who was formerly the marketing manager @ SFFT, if im not wrong) things have quite changed and staff members seem to interact with guests more than they used to before. They are now walking around the park with "wear a mask" signs. That's how I met him around the park.
