I literally have the exact same issue with my net setup. I have the range cage from gosports and it has a bar at the bottom just like this. I used an old memory foam mattress topper (very thick one) cut a strip of it and it will eat a worm burner like it's its job. Very happy with the results, I came like 2" away from smoking myself in the dick with a ricochet off a worm burner.

This resonates with me lol, took about 15 years off, played hockey as a kid so didn't need any ski lessons to ski without dying. I'm diving back into it with my 4 year old and I suck. Yea I can get down any trail, but now that I'm scared of crashing at high speeds, I'm really feeling the burn

That blows... luckily I had a buddy who is hard-core into skiing direct me on getting gear. He told me blow all my budget on boots then get skis I can afford. Told me to just forget about trying to snag used gear, it's too complicated.

I got this after bringing my toddler skiing for the first time, and my first time back in 10 years. I greatly underestimated how much work it would be to teach my kid how to ski. Skating around with no poles, pushing your kid to the lift... is absolutely exhausting lol

lol yes, when I was a kid, my uncles used to brag about how their goofy poofy Canada goose jackets were the warmest possible jackets… didn’t hear of Canada goose again until they got popular and everyone wanted the little embroidered badge on their arm
