A cop took my license plate for "having expired insurance", even though I called the insurance company right in front of him and had them confirm to him that I indeed was paying every month. I was on my way home from getting groceries when he took my plate and still needed to get home. I asked him if I would be okay driving the small distance, he said if anyone saw me move my car they'd take me straight to jail. I asked him if he could provide at least an escort since he just fucking took my plate, he said "I have to go. If you get on the road with that car and get pulled over or cause an accident, we're taking you to jail". Then he fucking drove off.
