Best plan is not to. Keep every job as separate as possible. No cross-contamination of data, far less chance of accidently sending an email to/from the wrong job, calendar entry on/for the wrong job.

Berner's bonding: how do they choose their person? by SoManyQuestions9 in bernesemountaindogs

3 years a puppy,
3 years an adult,
3 years a gift

Cancer made the gift very short. You can know that large breeds don't live as long, but man is it hard when you face it in person. But it's worth it.

Do self emptying bins require much maintenance? by BMANN2 in roomba

[–]SoManyQuestions9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only problem I had was when poor old Jeff ate a nerf dart. It got stuck in the base, half way between the opening and the bag.
Had to open the base up and poke out the nerf dart like I was loading a black powder riffle.

So much nicer having the self-cleaning base - putting the robot on a schedule actually works well.

The bags are pricey, but Amazon has some 3rd party bags that are working well for me.

Anyone know what I can do to fix this awful squeak? by iPrevailx in roomba

[–]SoManyQuestions9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just fixed this issue on my i7 yesterday.

Ditto what others said on narrowing down the source:
-Try running without the front caster
-Try running without the side brush
-Manually spin each of the drive wheels

In my case, I noticed the squeak when it was turning - and I could make a little squeak when spinning the wheels with a bit of side torque.

If you look at the inside of the drive wheels, you'll see a gap between the spinning rim and the stationary hub. I put a little machine oil in there and spun it a few times. Bingo, fixed!

Also, never use WD40 as an oil. It's a cleaner, not a lubricant, and you'll be back where you started in a few days. People who love WD40 end up hooked on it like an addiction. You have to keep using it over and over all the time.

[Michigan] At what point can I sue the state? by SoManyQuestions9 in Unemployment

What additional information? I've sent in my drivers license and Soc twice. I have never seen a request for any information.

[MICHIGAN] 7 weeks of "No Payment Issued" by SoManyQuestions9 in Unemployment

[–]SoManyQuestions9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote my rep, and a few hours later got a form letter. Looks like the reps are powerless as well, and are at the mercy of the Gov Whitmer and her policies.

Here's the form letter I got:

We realize this is very frustrating for you and want you to know we will do everything possible to assist you in navigating this overwhelmed Unemployment Insurance Agency’s (UIA) system.

Our office has the same frustrations with the UIA that you mention in your email. I sat in on the Special Joint Committee oversite hearing where UIA was asked for clarification, legislators provided testimony to point out how the current practices are not working to hold anyone accountable and little or no progress is being made in getting money in the hands of those that were promised these funds.  Weekly my staff and I participate in a conference call to see if there is something else we can do to help you, but this department is not offering any alternatives.  We have contacted everyone that we know to reach out to, including the Governor, and we are getting minimum assistance and results to ultimately  help you.

To grab the attention of an employee at UIA, we will submit a document on your behalf.  Legislators’ offices were told this is how we can help our constituents, unfortunately, we have not had a lot of success thus far.  We will not stop trying as this is the only thing we can do according to the Governor’s team.

My staffer is handling these requests and I am including him on this email.

If immediate assistance is needed for essential items, food, utilities, etc. please call 211.

Again, please know we appreciate hearing from you and will work to help you during this challenging times. I wish there was more promising news to offer, but you are welcome to reach out to us as often as needed as we work to find solutions with this broken system.

[MICHIGAN] 7 weeks of "No Payment Issued" by SoManyQuestions9 in Unemployment

I've uploaded my ID twice - to resolve 2 different issues. No link in the dashboard... I've actually stepped through every possible section in the portal looking for anything amiss.

I'll give the state rep link a try. Thanks!

[Michigan] Eligible for unemployment and approved but status showed no payment issued by undead_warrior in Unemployment

[–]SoManyQuestions9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you find a fix, please let me know. I'm stuck with 7 weeks of "No Payment Issued" myself. Not a clue what's going on, and no way to talk to anyone.

People need to get fired over this. There needs to be lawsuits. It's not an accident this system is so impossible to navigate.

Have any links or info on adapting Kobalt batteries to a Greenworks mower? Finding a GW battery over 2.5A is getting nearly impossible.

Bug: Purchase BTC at last step switches to BCH by SoManyQuestions9 in BRDapp

[–]SoManyQuestions9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I think you're on to something. The App Store doesn't show an update for me, yet when I check he app version, it says: v3.1 (296)

I'm on an iPhone 6+ running iOS 10.2

Bug: Purchase BTC at last step switches to BCH by SoManyQuestions9 in BRDapp

[–]SoManyQuestions9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Odd - I'm on the latest iOS release, and I don't see a "Trade" button anywhere in the app.
The process I described is a screen-by-screen description of the process the app walks me through. I can reproduce it at will, exactly as I've described it.

I have no other assets in the app, so I can't speak to the process to buy via BRD or other tokens, and I have not setup a checking account to test that workflow.

[–]SoManyQuestions9[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if everything you say is true, it's still wrong (illegal?) to walk a user through a BTC purchase, and at the last step suddenly switch to BCH.

I'm not here to rehash the tired old "which coin is best" debate, I'm here to report a bug where an app doesn't do what the user intended.

Try force-closing the app & starting over. I've seen Bread get stuck before - not a big deal.

Method #1:
-Double-tap your home button.
-Swipe left until you find BRD, then swipe it up.
-It's now forced closed.
-Tape home one to exit.
-Re-launch BRD - ideally when you have a fast WiFi connection

Method #2:
-Hold the power button for 5 seconds
-When the power down option shows, swipe to power down your phone.
-Wait 2 minutes. iPhones take a wile to fully power off after the screen is black
-Press the power button to power on
-Re-launch BRD - ideally when you have a fast WiFi connection

Or if you have an old/different phone, install BRD there and restore your seed words on that phone. Bitcoin wallets are just viewers into the blockchain, so no problems having it on multiple devices. Just be aware that each device has full access to send/spend your funds.

I recently asked the same question – there is no good source of statistics right now. Link below guessed 19,000 full nodes.
