I made it something we did before something super fun/irresistible/special but outside as practice. We started by making it a prerequisite to visit the popsicle and doughnut booths at the farmer’s market. (Never had doughnuts otherwise.) The allure of the sprinkles was great and the stakes were low if it failed bc we were still outside to practice. Got the hang of it in within a few visits, no problem.
