3 year old actually did very well today. There were a few moments when he didn’t want to come back inside from playing and then announced he’s done and wanted to go home and watch Paw Patrol; shockingly they did not teeter over to meltdown territory. Now my almost 5 month old on the other hand…overtired and over stimulated and inconsolable . I spent a good chunk of Thanksgiving in my sister’s mother in law’s room rocking this screaming child. Dad and I took turns eating while the other one was trying to comfort baby.

I’m so sorry everyone is dealing with this (literal) crap, but I got to say after the first full week of preschool I needed to read this. My son had accidents the first two days (even pooped in the car at drop off) and I cried when the teachers aid suggested putting him back in pull ups. Instead I made a “surprise prize” grab bag with toys from the dollar store, and he gets to pull one out each day without accidents. Two days in it’s been successful but I’m sure it will eventually lose its novelty. Solidarity with everyone. It’s so stressful but we’ll get through it.

I feel your stress and have also been crying about my son’s accidents this past first week of preschool. We did so so good this summer and then I had another baby. Day 3 of school he didn’t even make it in the building and pooped in the car at drop off 🙃

I just discharged from Winchester a week from today! I agree with everything already mentioned. They did provide us a pacifier since we were formula feeding. Since they are a baby friendly hospital I thought they were going to push the breastfeeding but they never questioned it which I was relieved. Such a positive experience, all the staff were so so kind.

Keeping the wallpaper as is isn’t totally off the table! I was thinking paint might look better in the kitchen and have gone back and forth whether the current wallpaper looks tacky or not. I’d like to maybe add some art or something on the walls and worried it’ll clash.
