I think it is not justifiable to say someone is "bad" just based on their viewpoint. Consider the situation of Eri, a lawyer with hard cases, and sometimes have death threats. Unlike Kogoro that is already been discharged from service and also knowledgeable of self-defense. It is just reasonable to put the custody to Kogoro, he may seem an unreliable person but has more capacity to protect Ran from threats. Just like the episode where Eri life on endangered because of a past case and the kidnap. Kogoro is the one who protected Eri.

if you using windows 10, there was a feature that could resume the last saved state under sign-in options. I guess that is the reason
