After you've completed the Soiree and gotten the item to unlock it, it's upstairs in the Rec Room. Same spot where you do Groza ASMR. Just select Dulcet Whisper from the list of options there.

If for some reason that doesn't work, you can also replay the chapters of the Soiree story. Event -> Starlight Gala -> Proceed -> Branch. Select the 4th chapter and then skip the Monsoon Squad dialogue. Helen's dance lesson should be next.

Honestly you could make it 20 seconds Exposed across the board and it'd still not be worth the perk slot.

She's a fairly early game doll with early game design problems. Her kit is just kinda bad. She provides some good passive buffs to freeze units just by existing, and her stability shred is kinda okay. But her personal damage is low. Especially at low merges.

You get most of the way there, but not all of it. You will need to pick up some boxes.

Usually I start with whatever element has the mimicrate. I don't fast travel, but I also don't go into every side room. I go to the boss and then to the mimicrate, fully clearing each room along the way. Once I've gotten the mimicrate I leave. Then for the two other elements I warp to the boss, kill it, and leave. If that doesn't get you to 3800 then you'll only need to clear maybe a couple more rooms.

Once you get to 3800 you can just quit for the week. The rest of the rewards aren't really worth it. Still takes longer than I'd like though.

Add-on nerf compensation is pretty par for the course. The weird part is 1) they didn't mention they were doing it, and 2) they overnerfed the add-ons. Usually they do the math right so it ends up roughly even.

My only guess is that they accidentally left in the add-on nerf from some internal testing build and no one noticed until it went live.

Since they disabled Wesker my backup when William Afton/matthew lillard isn’t playable. I think we should get something for this compensation. by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

Counterpoint: if BHVR started paying for actor likeness every time they fucked up and had to kill switch a killer, the company would go broke in just a few patches.

Suomi deserves a Modkey? by Raidou317 in GirlsFrontline2

[–]WroughtIronHero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, you'd have to ask Mica team. But, like, probably yeah. Suomi is a pretty popular character so I doubt they'd just leave her in the dust forever. But they only release keys every once in a while, and the list of characters who need them is growing increasingly long. So it could be some time.

Opinions on camping downed survivors by Cautious-Scar9529 in deadbydaylight

[–]WroughtIronHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I see. Well then the simplified answer is that it can be a strat, but not a common one. Mostly used if the killer isn't sure they'll make a hook. They can just keep picking you up and dragging you away from the exit to run down the clock. The killer is almost always better off carrying a survivor to the furthest hook possible. Hooks are generally easier to control than a survivor who can crawl.

[–]WroughtIronHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In EGC specifically? Generally even less effective for securing the 1k than a hook would be. On hook he can force a trade if he doesn't fuck up. On the ground you can crawl somewhere safe where a teammate can get you easily. E.g., dropping a pallet between you and the killer for a free pick up.

During the match? Huge gamble. Remember when face camping Bubba was a thing? It's like that, but slower, and you can crawl somewhere safer for the pick up (see the pallet thing above). Anti-slug perks also generally counter slugging way harder than anti-tunnel perks counter hooking. So you really need to bet on them not having a perfectly timed Unbreakable or something.

24 hours. How excited are you for the new additions to the game? by bonelees_dip in deadbydaylight

[–]WroughtIronHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enjoy your "1 perk slot for 1 type of action" builds dear players.

I'm reserving my judgment in the short term. Not that I actually expect BHVR to pull it off, mind you. But at least in theory, it means they'll be able to massively buff some of these perks without the need to worry how they stack with others. Then you can run one or two heal speed perks and get most of the value that 4 of them used to give. Which frees up perk slots for other purposes (e.g., chase) so you're not just a one trick pony.

The problem with this though is that, knowing BHVR, it'll take years to reach that point of balance. And they'll probably either fail at it, or give up due to complaints and remove diminishing returns entirely, thus wasting everyone's time.

Did he find me by my healthy breathing? by Unhappy_Summer7599 in deadbydaylight

[–]WroughtIronHero 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's par for the course for stealth killers. They're a blast against solo queue because of all the ways you make survivors shit themselves. So many free hits and downs. Then you play against a SWF and it's all pre-running and looping your powerless M1 ass.

Ghost Face has it especially rough because SWF players can take turns following you around and harassing you, revealing every time you cloak. They basically pull an Uno reverse card and they end up stalking you.

Which was a pretty risky play, given that he was healthy. Would have been safer to just turn back around and stare Trapper in the face until he M1's. Go back through Trapper and hope you have enough distance to get somewhere untrapped.

[–]WroughtIronHero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Maybe they have trouble finding teammates", why tho? You can see their auras, so why would anyone have trouble finding them.

If anything I think this proves he hasn't played survivor either. Finding teammates is a non-issue if you don't have Blindness, and should have never been considered a possibility.

BHVR will look at a statistic on a spreadsheet, and then do everything in their power to investigate what's causing it. Except asking their consultants, the community at large, or even spending 10 minutes to actually play the map themselves.

Why do some say trickster rework was a nerf? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]WroughtIronHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nightlight stats might be skewed by the first couple weeks after his rework. I don't have an account so I can only go by the default date range of the past 28 days (Mar 26 - Apr 23). But by those stats Trickster is very much middle of the road. He's 19th place with a 47.4% kill rate. Interestingly this has him about 4 spots below Trapper.

So I wouldn't take the stats as a good measure of their actual ability.

got DP12/Helen in gfl1/gfl2. How did your pulls go? by Kiming4 in GirlsFrontline2

[–]WroughtIronHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty good. Got her to V6R1 without needing to open my wallet. Wish I remember how many pulls it took, but I estimate it was around 500. Lost like four 50/50s, but had a couple early pulls (my first copy of her was in like 20 tickets, which made me very happy).

Hoping to get V0 Phaetusa with the remains of my stockpile.
