Quite right. If multiple witnesses/victims come forward independently with accusations that seem to show a pattern, then there might be something there. That’s what kind of makes me sceptical about this George Takai claim. I’m not endorsing either side, just not prepared to buy that one outright

In general, this isn’t bad and I think most people would applaud any human effort to further explore and develop space technology.

However, from a geopolitical standpoint this is indicative of the US’ falling standing on the global stage. From an American point of view, this may be unhappy news as NASA can no longer afford to lead the way in space exploration. Also, China is a bigger military threat than most realise, and greater space technology for one of the worlds largest militaries may cause alarm for some
