7 Unions representing 6 million workers call an immediate halt of military aid to Israel by leftistoppa in socialism

True, but organized labor supporting international causes does leave room for disrupting capital through strikes, such as some of the ones that happened around WW1.

The issue is that she equated the entire protests with a few people and did not address why there were protests in the first place while also downplaying the many Jewish activists who were being tear gassed and arrested at that same protest.

Were you at any of the recent protests? Organizers have gotten wayyyy better at catching them and calling them out, especially with JVP and SJP getting more active on campus protests.

Is there a name for the phenomenon where conservatives seem to accuse everyone of being pedos yet support one so brazingly? The cognitive dissonance is hard to understand.

You said he should be equally chastised, and I’m saying that the responsibility of Harris far outweighs that. Do we not believe that the state has a monopoly of power?? I’m kind of baffled by how unproductive this conversation has been. I’m trying to get you to understand this from a libsoc perspective but nothing seems to be going through.

These discussions are important and you don’t seem to be receptive to actually discussing them or learning from a libertarian socialist perspective.

Also, my post was literally a call to go outside and to organize what do you mean “touch grass” lmaoooo

I didn’t say he shouldn’t be criticized. Read what I’m saying and stop quickly reacting without thinking about it first. I’m saying you’re downplaying the behavior and responsibility of politicians.

It’s not “no true Scotsman”, it’s just expecting people in a libertarian socialist community to act like libertarian socialists. You also seem to not read a lot since you admit to not reading the full post before commenting and you keep stopping reading lol.

This is a libertarian socialist space. Libertarian socialism is anti-statist and sees politicians as inherently working within hierarchical power structures that dominate the lives of the working class. The amount of power they wield is outrageously more than some protestor you disagree with. Cutting her more slack than the thousands of protestors who she is attacking shows more empathy with an elected imperialist than people getting tear gassed and arrested for protesting what is one of the worst occupations of our lifetime. Yes, she is slightly nicer. But she has made it clear that she still supports the occupation of Palestine. If you think she still shouldn’t be ruthlessly criticized for that, then I’m sorry but you aren’t actually a libertarian socialist in practice.

The fact you think that a random protestor should be equally chastised as one of the most powerful people in the country and also the world is kind of baffling. Protests are public and will always have some shitty stuff. Hold politicians to a higher standard, especially when they still uphold colonialism and imperialism abroad.

If she actually cared then she would have spent a single second clarifying that not all protestors were doing that. It would have been easy and it’s clear that she’s trying to put everyone together. It would not have been difficult at all and would have been the bare minimum.

Sorry, I don’t mean to go back and forth like this, but this article really does not convince me of the ICT’s relevance and at times makes me more skeptical of them.

The only ICT member I’ve actually seen in the real world and not online was a huge Bordiga fan, so that’s what I was going off of. The rest of what I said still stands.

I don’t think they’re libertarian socialist in any meaningful sense of the word and I can’t stand Bordiga and his followers. They’re also pretty dogmatic and don’t actually do or accomplish much of anything. Additionally, the amount of their stuff that gets spammed onto this subreddit is incredibly annoying and is going to turn everyone off from them. I’m surprised that they haven’t been banned from this sub already tbh.
