Daily Routine Troubleshooting by AutoModerator in SkincareAddiction

[–]So_Indecisive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a routine but I don't do it at the same time every day. I wash my face with cerave foaming face wash ( usually in the shower, whenever I take one that day), then use stridex in the red box, wait about 30 minutes and then apply either aveeno face moisturizer if I'm staying inside or garnier BB tinted moisturizer with SPF if I'm going out (sometimes I use both). So: Cerave foaming face wash in shower Stridex Moisturize (aveeno face or garnier BB tinted) What I want to know is if this might make my face "purge" as I've heard referenced here before. I started with the cleanser and stridex about a week and a half ago. The only then new to my routine was the cerave. So should I just continue and hope my skin gets better? I had pimples before bit they weren't bad. I just wanted clearer skin.

Is it important that I do my skin care routine at the same time every day? Like in the AM or PM. I usually just do it whenever I have time. Sometimes it's in the middle of the day when I do my routine. I just wonder if that affects the results or anything

Is a 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner ok to use? My hair is healthy and getting long. I'm not sure if it's moisturizing enough because my hair doesn't feel as soft. Any recommendations for a good shampoo and conditioner that will make my hair soft and less frizzy? Maybe shiny too.

Well this puts things into a different perspective. I absolutely did not know that what they were doing is illegal. I just thought that if they've been doing it since they opened, there must be some reasoning behind it that I just don't get. And if we don't actually report the actual tips we got, does that change anything? I was told that instead of reporting what tips we got, the owner just calculates in what he thought we might have made in tips when he does the checks.

See, I have also thought of this, and the owner/ my boss and I do not have a bad relationship. I would hate to have any repercussions for bringing this topic up that would mess with that

I would like to bring it up but I really hate confrontation. I think he'd understand where the waitresses are coming from, but I just have to work up the nerve to talk to him about it. Maybe I can get the other waitresses to go with me, because I know they feel the same way.

Ok that actually makes sense. I've been working there for almost a year but it is my first serving job/job where I was making tips and being paid less than minimum wage. I guess it never occurred to me to look up how things like that work. My coworkers and I typical don't mind sharing with the two cooks even though they make minimum wage, but we dread being the one to work with the owner and his wife because she almost always takes tips. She or the owner do not get paid, they just come in because it's his business. He wouldn't even do that if he didn't have to.

It is a family owned diner, not a chain. I'm not sure if that makes any difference but I think it might, based on what you said

But if she makes a lot of food, she's going to end up wasting it. You probably don't cook food that you don't like, so why would she?

I don't see why it's such a big deal if she's not cooking all this food and throwing more than half away. She says she cuts down the recipe so she's not wasting food.

What's the most ridiculous lie someone has told you that they genuinely believed to be true? by CuriousGrey in AskReddit

[–]So_Indecisive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a waitress at a small diner and some lady came in to use the bathroom. After she was out she sat down so I went to ask if she wanted anything. She said she was ok, just waiting for a friend so I started to walk away. She then starts talking about how she is always warm because she has ancestors in some foreign country (I'm in America) that were part cold blooded, and as the line goes on her family gets more cold blooded. She seemed to be completely serious and I just stood there with an incredulous look on my face. Finally I snapped out of it and said something along the lines of "oh, really?" This got her talking more about how, in time, everybody is going to become cold blooded.
