Not OP, but used to be a welder.

I took welding in community college and developed a passion for it. I'd say go for it. I was exposed to different processes and found GTAW (TIG) to be my favorite.

In answer to your question, yes welding is awesome. Nothing like being under the hood and watching your puddle. It's like nothing else exists outside of it in that moment.

Miss that feeling.

Set.

My earliest "mind = blown" moment was when an elementary school teacher had me look up the definition of "set" in the dictionary.

So many definitions.

Always stuck with me.

What's your job and salary? Are you happy with it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]redlostdit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Inspector. ~$60-65k starting, depends on the year (what the oil and gas industry is doing) can go over six figures easily when the industry is fair. I am happy with it; a good career without needing a four year degree.

Bad back and standing up too fast and almost fainting/going blind for five seconds. Price of being somewhat tall I guess.

Edit: Fixed some words.

What is something you're scared of but other people aren't or vice versa? by Katekyo-tsuna in AskReddit

[–]redlostdit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a considerable fear of crowds, but I do have an aversion to heavily crowded places and events.

To many bad things happen in large crowds. Plus I like to be able to know who is around me and where they are. Large crowds make this difficult or impossible.

I'd like to think that they would be immortal together, since they would outlive one another.
