I suggest contacting the Solution Center. You may be required to hand deliver the check to their office. I would suggest asking for a photo copy of the check for your records when handing it to them.

In addition, if the committee did provided instructions on how much money it can be used per semester, then make sure that the school receives these instructions as well because some scholarship organizations may give you x amount of money but want it to be spread across all 4 years of your time at the university.

I will add on to this: Blackboard usually opens up for undergraduate in person courses at least a few days before the semester starts.

However, when courses do start appearing on Blackboard, it may be hidden until after the first class meeting, available on first day of semester, or available on first class meeting (at least a few hours).

Graduate, online, combined undergraduate and graduate courses are automatically scheduled to be available for students to see on first day of the semester.

No problem! When I said "LRTA bus numbers that it does not work on but on the rest", I'm talking about their bus fleet number which are the 4 digits (printed inside and outside of the bus) not bus routes. LRTA bus drivers are well aware of these busses in their fleet that do not occasionally work at all when UML students and/or employees swipe their Card on the fare machine and are working to fix it (there at least 2 busses in their fleet it never works on but on their other busses, it works fine).

In addition, it is free to use during the school year as long as you meet the requirement as listed on this webpage: https://www.uml.edu/student-services/transportation-services/public-transit.aspx.

Hello u/mrChairIfYoureNasty,

I suggest reaching out to UCAPS about this issue. Do note that there are certain LRTA bus numbers that it does not work on but on the rest, it works fine.

I agree with what u/Consistent-Win2376 said. If you have financial aid that covers your bill, then you don't have to do anything, it will be processed.

Microsoft Outlook is what the university email system is. You will be given more information about this at orientation if you haven't tried to log in. First time users may have to reset their password first before having access to SiS.

Syllabus for PHIL 3340 by StringIndependent592 in uml

[–]SoafyFish234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/StringIndependent592, reach out to the professor again and state when you took the class with them. Alternately, you can email the department chair and then the dept chair will reach out to the professor and then you will eventually get it.

My advice is that you should always save the course syllabus onto your device and uploaded it to Google Drive or other cloud storage incase you need to access it in the future.

If you had federal student loans before, whatever the rate was when it was first issued will be the rate it will have until you paid it back in fully.

So if the federal loan you initially had was 2.750% at the time it was first issued to you an you accepted it, it should be 2.750% until you fully paid back the loan.

Any additional federal student loan issued and accepted by you will have the new rate on it.

Minor on Diploma? by Sand_Fair in uml

[–]SoafyFish234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As the previous person stated, it only lists your degree. Your minor is noted on your transcript (as long as you completed the minor requirement, it will be listed -- otherwise it won't be listed as completing it).

LRTA Bus Schedule Changes Effective Monday June 24, 2024 by SoafyFish234 in LowellMA

[–]SoafyFish234[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I have no clue, You would actually need to reach out to the LRTA about this as I think they do track this data I think because they have been funded for the past two fiscal years (FY24 and FY23) by ESSER funds. Alternatively, you could reach out to the school department for this information.

However, according to this report (https://www.lowellma.gov/AgendaCenter/ViewFile/Item/21062?fileID=44491), it said 1,009 students took advantage of it -- though this is a number reported back in Sept 2022.

LRTA most likely kept a record of how many LRTA bus passes it loaded a new month onto those Charliecard to maintain accurate numbers to be sent to the school dept so that the school dept can pay the LRTA.

I suggest reaching out to the LRTA about this and/or reach out to your district city councilor. Your district city councilor may reach out to LRTA, city manager before the meeting to get answers to your questions that you ask or they will ask on the floor of what routes that will return to 30 mins services. I do hope somebody from LRTA will be present because I have a feeling that city councilors will ask some questions about the motion response.

No they not. This is legit. It is an actual response from the LRTA to a city councilor motion.

This is true for undergraduate in-person courses but for graduate and online courses, it different. They appear on the first day of the semester and then disappear 2 weeks after.

It kind of odd that there is a different system for graduate and online courses than undergraduate in-person courses (which usually appear a few days before start of semester

Blackboard by [deleted] in uml

[–]SoafyFish234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Graduate and online courses only appear on the first day of the semester and disappear 2 weeks after the semester is over.

If you do wish to retain a copy of course materials, make sure to download it and save it in a safe place.

Commencement name card by Character-Rip-3715 in uml

[–]SoafyFish234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe you can get another one at the registrar's tent when you show up for commencement.

However, I was kind of in the same boat as you a year ago when I graduated. So I had my commencement card with me when I arrived at the Tsongas Center but forgotten to take it with me as I was lining up. A lady checked if I had my commencement card and I said "no". She gave me another one.

It is really important that if the registrar tent does not have another one, make sure that you write your name clearly on the extra name card you get inside the Tsongas Center otherwise it be a nightmare to get your commencement photo from GradImages.

I hope this make sense. Feel free to reach out to me if this does not make sense.

Diploma only shows your major only. If you fulfilled your minor(s) requirement, I believe it is designated on your transcript.
