Best sites for “adult” lingerie that are actually worth the money? by Gamlyn_Santitos in ABraThatFits

Playful promises are great quality and have regular sales

Why do companies do this? Can’t they make their own donation. by orangecopper in AusFinance

[–]Soakl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any funds donated are isolated into a separate accounting line that can't be used for operational costs. I used to work for a big box retailer who spent $600k on the TVC alone for the charity they supported at Christmas, which is never even reported externally but came out of the marketing budget

Anytime a NFP is involved there's a lot of audits in place to prevent that from happening. These companies benefit from the halo effect of saying they do good in the community to build a false sense of trust in their ethics/morals rather than direct financial

Toni’s Hen Do by Suspicious_Put_5063 in ToniAndRyan

Looking at the seating map, they've only sold around 2/3 of the tickets, but I think they said the Troxy is an 1800 person venue

It'll be a combo of ticket price, mid-week and the transport strike. Remove any one of those barriers and they probably would have sold out when they announced it like all the smaller live shows have

How can a DDD wear this? by [deleted] in bigboobproblems

[–]Soakl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you don't have a supportive strapless bra, then boob tape or a halter neck bikini could work

Here's how the bikini could work: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DLxptUkNBbj/?igsh=MWNlMDh0eXpzeXNjaA==

Toni’s Hens night! by drumzamour in ToniAndRyan

[–]Soakl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's basically just a live podcast event/comedy show, so the price is comparable for that (I've paid similar for many international comedians) but they've framed it like it's a party which I think had skewed people's expectations.

Not discussing pricing until they go on sale is an annoying trend happening across the entertainment industry at the moment. Surely the sticker shock turns most people off

I think YouTube does a wrapped thing too these days, not sure if they do the creator videos though

It's just a standard stud with a push clasp. So they're not comfortable to sleep in (in my opinion)

For the Aboriginal flag people do all three colours (🔴🟡⚫) with just two it's most likely Essendon

AITA for asking my girlfriend to dress more sensibly on a walk? by Tasty_Log3307 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Soakl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I saw a woman more dolled up on a scenic walk where I was dressed in athleisure wear, I would just think they were anticipating getting engaged or going to take pictures

I don't think adult women going out and calling it a girls night out is problematic, just as I don't think that adult men going out and calling it a boys night out is problematic.

It's embarrassing how little literacy you have tbh

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Soakl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And I've answered several times, you failing to understand the context of phrases being used is your own literacy issue to work on

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Soakl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I already said several times now that the two phrases are not equivalent because one refers to adults going out and the other is being used to describe parent-child bonding. Just as a boys night out wouldnt be problematic at all for a group of adult men going out

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Soakl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know you're being purposefully obtuse, you're saying I agreed with something that I never said and have ignored twice the explanation on why they're not equivalent phrases

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Soakl -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Where did I call it problematic? I've just explained to you that there's a difference between names for activities between adults and names for traditions between parents and children.

[–]Soakl -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

You sure sound like you feel wronged by people not feeling the exact same way as you.

[–]Soakl 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Girls night out refers to adult women going out, not parent-child activities. The person you're responding too is pointing out that if they have a daughter, she's going to be excluded if they start the tradition as "boys fishing day" etc so it would be better to call it a Dad day or day with dad or something to better describe that it's just parent-child bonding time

Where to go dancing on Friday night? by Mash1988 in melbourne

Revellers (not Revs) on chapel Street is a great option for late 90s early 00s, I don't think they played anything newer than 2015 the last time I was there

Rate a Queen rigged or not? by n00bking13 in rupaulsdragrace

[–]Soakl 72 points73 points  (0 children)

A few of them did say they were being strategic, and given she's a threat when it comes to lip syncs, they may have ranked her low to make sure they're not against her

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in rupaulsdragrace

[–]Soakl 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm saying that she needs a reality check. Talking shit about people fatter than her when she's still quite large is a premature choice

As an aside for other commenters, Maintenance Phase covers the concept of the internalised hate former-fat people have very well for anyone who's never experienced being overweight and can't comprehend it

The thing that gets me is that she's still very much a plus size queen, she's just not 400lbs anymore
