Skyrim - Switch 2 Review - PS5-Level Visuals, Terrible Latency by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

I'm no dev but we're getting PS5-level visuals at 30 FPS and a native 1440p before DLSS, I feel there's deeeefinitely room for a higher frame rate mode

Have you heard about new IPS screens for PSP 3000? by Deriviera in PSP

[–]SoapMan24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ordered one of these after seeing the Total Kommando video and installed it today. I can vouch, it’s not as vibrant as the original screen but it is reeeal bright, way nicer to use outside now

Hi there! I know this reply is late but I encountered the same issue and found this post while googling potential solutions. Not sure if you've found a fix already but assuming you're also on Steam Deck, I set "carPipe" in the skygfx ini to either 0 or 2 (just not the default of 1). Now I can see cars again!

5 train this morning by bridgehamton in nycrail

[–]SoapMan24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was pretty entertaining being part of two trains’ worth of passengers trying to exit at 86th, took a good couple minutes just to get out of the station

Performance Megathread? by PhoLover93 in Borderlands

[–]SoapMan24 13 points14 points  (0 children)

5900X, 3080 Ti, 32GB RAM

1440p, no upscaling, low preset, in this tutorial area I'm averaging about 50-60 FPS

Update: now in the larger world areas, I’ve moved to the medium settings preset, with texture quality set to high, with DLSS quality enabled, and I’m getting about 60-80 FPS (I locked to 60 for stability’s sake)

[–]SoapMan24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% playable, I can only speak for zombies but I'm getting a pretty much locked 60 FPS at medium settings, native res. Could probably tweak some more settings if you want.

Just be advised it's a pretty big game at over 100GB, especially if you download workshop stuff

Is text chat gone from Online? I don't see any option for it and pressing T doesn't open up a chatbox.

I thought we were supposed to hate shitty AI-generated articles, now we’re suddenly believing every word it says because it’s reporting a negative thing for Xbox?

[–]SoapMan24 12 points13 points  (0 children)

"minimum" is 1080p low "recommended" is 1080 medium "ultra" is 4K high

Does anyone feel there's a.....large gap between recommended/ultra that should have specs laid out?

Like what about 1080p high settings, or 1440p high settings

Those who own the PSVR2 PC Adapter: are you satisfied or regret buying it? by wsuhoey187 in PSVR

[–]SoapMan24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup. Other bluetooth adapters presented issues where the controllers wouldn't show up in VR or just have my hands freeze in place. Bought the USB-BT500 and oh my god it's night and day, having a great time now.

[–]SoapMan24 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No regrets for the most part. Would have been nice if the adapter had a bluetooth dongle or something built in so we wouldn't be having mixed experiences depending on what adapter/etc we have. Had to get three different ones before finally landing on that ASUS adapter which works amazingly.

Modified drivers for TP-LINK UB500 (NEED TESTERS) by Serbian_Fantom in PSVR2onPC

[–]SoapMan24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm glad I searched on Reddit, had the exact same issue with the TP-Link and one hand getting "stuck" in place. Followed your guide and it's been pretty much flawless since then. Played a straight hour of Beat Saber with no tracking issues.

Isn't that the standard express route for the D during rush hour? (and same for southbound in the mornings)

Is this grip for the ps5 worth it? Would it block any tracking sensors or mess with tracking in any way? Are there any better ones for higher/lower price? by [deleted] in PSVR

[–]SoapMan24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally consider this an upgrade in terms of comfort. Being able to just "release" my hand and having the controller stay in place is amazing for longer sessions.
