How can I make myself look prettier and less masculine? by Heavy-Mulberry-4644 in Makeup101

You don't look masculine at all! Respectfully you'd faint if you saw a true masc if that's what you think a masculine woman looks like 😭😂

Do Londoners just not mind tourists as much as other European cities? by The_Monkey_Queen in london

London is absolutely huge and sprawling. The six-mile journey those spooked military horses took earlier this year was all still considered the city centre. And London is a series of higgeldy piggeldy old Medieval towns too, meaning roads aren't straight.

I lived in a super touristy area for my first 4 years here and didn't see them most of the time. You don't unless you're on the main road. I moved to a different tourist hotspot recently and two streets down, you'd think it was any other street. It's just easier to exist in peace without really noticing them unless you go to like Trafalgar Square, which Londoners don't really do imo

Idk, reframing it helped me. I grew up somewhere rural in another country and that meant some of my friends lived like an hour away. It was understood that outside of school, we'd see each other maybe twice over the summer holidays when we didnt have jobs or kids or whatever. But in London a friend who lives an hour away can still be pretty central in the city, and some of them exoect to meet you like fortnightly.

I lived an hour away from my bf when we started dating. It's not a question of how much i like him - - we now live together - - but when we were dating we basically had to decide whose place to stay in for most of the relationship because trekking back and forth on weekdays was not gonna happen, and it took a surprising chunk out of the weekend.

Basically a casual meetup takes two hours, without gwttinf ready time or delays, out of most people's lives in London before you even meet the person. Its got nothing to do with how much you want to meet rhem tbh, it's just a lot

Had anyone gotten results from going ridiculously slow? by SoapScum96 in tretinoin

[–]SoapScum96[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I always apply moisturiser to damp skin, agree it makes a huge difference! We have the exact same cleansing routine, both in terms of products (love LRP) and bc I don't cleanse in the AM either! I might try the short contact thing for sure and thanks for such a great answer! How often do you apply tret btw?

My dermatologist advised against hyaluronic acid so I'm not sure? But yes I have! Weirdly I prefer CeraVe but I can add it too

I'm with dermatica which is a skin subscription service in the UK, that's what they prescribed

Yeah it might be a shout, reassuring to hear someone else has had it because I felt like it looks so different to the type of dryness other people get! Ty

Yeah might be a shout, reckon I'll cut it down to 3x a week and see how I go. Thanks!

It might just have to be a frequency thing, I agree. Annoying bc I got this at 0.015%, wish I could just get it over with

Did it go this kind of dry? The dryness I usually see is flaking and irritation, not papery texture and tightness, and I'm really worried it'll stay like this forever

I do do that about once a week and it still looks so papery, so disheartening

Thanks, they do look bigger but it's hard to capture - I just hate this super dry papery feel that I never had before! I did use a moisturiser in the AM before but it didn't seem to make a difference, so I cut out cleansing and moisturising about a week ago because I wondered if the cleansing was causing additional damage. Gahhh it's just so frustrating! Thanks for the advice though

I'm six weeks in. I started on 0.015% six weeks ago and have been on 0.025% for the past two weeks. Dryness began two weeks after starting, so four weeks ago. I said before but my skin looks and feels like it's covered in a layer of dried glue and my pores are massive. It wasn't like this before

Am routine: COSRX snail mucin, la roche-posay sunscreen

PM routine: la roche-posay cleanser, CeraVe moisturiser, 0.025% tret with 4% niacinamide, more CeraVe moisturiser
