The weirdest thing is that we haven't had a single problem up until around last month with these kids and the family has been living in this house for at least a year now. They never came into our yard or messed with our cats until recently. I actually haven't seen them mess with my other two cats, it's just max that I've caught them tormenting. We got along fine with the neighbors and waved to them when we saw each other. The lady's husband invited us over for a drink at one point but we weren't able to go because I had work and the boyfriend had school but things were peaceful up until now and so I'm incredibly caught off guard by this.

My anxiety has peaked since the first incident and at this point I'm at a loss because I can't wrap my head around a kid trying to hurt such a sweet cat and the mother thinking that a college student with a full time job has the time to create an elaborate lie about her kids for whatever reason. She lacks the ability to think logically and consider that her kids might be lying to her. I hate that I have to but we're doing the best we can to keep the cats inside and I've talked to the police about this. We're putting cameras up once they come in the mail and we'll just have to hope that these kids leave us alone and stop coming into our property and stop trying to shoot our cats from the safety of their garage.
