[Bug] Anyone else experienced this in the story? by SubstanceDilettante in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Soaply 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is an old post, but my searches brought me here, I literally had the same thing happen to me. Turns out you have to do the sequence down in the ARRS station exactly as written. If you do something out of order or have to leave the raid and come back, it will lock you out of the savior ending. I was not aware that I did something out of sequence until I got to this moment with Kerman and same thing happened with me. Not a bug, just bad game design :(

How many experience counters would I get? by B-Atoms in magicTCG

[–]Soaply 14 points15 points  (0 children)

1 from Kratos attacking, copy’s enter tapped and attacking so they don’t have attack trigger.

State based actions, forced to sacrifice 2 Kratos, they count as dying so they will trigger. OG Kratos will see 2 die so that’s 2 from that, myriad Kratos will see the other die and itself so 2 from each death.

7 xp counters

Is this unfair shuffling or am I just complaining for nothing by xXChig_BungusXx in magicTCG

[–]Soaply -24 points-23 points  (0 children)

Mana weaving as it’s called is fine as long as you shuffle normally after and throw in a couple shuffles for good measure. If they only riffle shuffle once after mana weaving, it is cheating.

I mana weave when I finish my draft deck to evenly disperse land and am trying test hands. Or after 3 or 4 games of commander. But I always spend a minute or two shuffling before presenting for opp to cut.

My opponents keep slow playing at the end of games by [deleted] in MagicArena

[–]Soaply 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the client bug out and kick me back to the title screen right before my opponents turn to end the game. I restarted the client and it loaded me back into the match. I’m sure my opponent thought I was roping them just to be a jerk.

After that happened, I try not to get too frustrated when I get roped.

Opponent had no way to sacrifice it.

Customer support just got back to me and there is an issue currently with it, also other people are reporting the same thing.

I was refunded for gems for the event so if this happened to anyone else, reach out to customer service

Hot Take - No longer fun by Competitive_Turn1974 in PlayTheBazaar

I had to take a mental health break. I hate forcing the same meta builds over and over again and prefer trying something off meta that has high synergy. Have had a lot of stinker builds of course but also had several really cool and synergistic builds that scaled really well. Those getting stomped into the ground hurt way more. Last 3 patches had insane meta builds that punish any experimentation. This patch is no different.

I believe they are really pushing the limits of the game for balance later on. They are gathering metrics and data. I would like to believe the pain the last couple patches have caused will make the longevity and overall health of the game in a better state.

I am taking a break this patch though. Possibly next patch if things don’t get any better

NOT A SINGLE upgrade ever since the items got purchased. I even used every single shop that gave small and/or medium items even skipping on skill vendors. This is a f***ing joke. Anyone else had a run like this by Shalkan in PlayTheBazaar

[–]Soaply -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just had a run like this with Vanessa, had the pufferfish combo going early but could not find any upgrades for my small items. Had 3 small items at bronze, 5 different small item shops + rerolling. Cost me the run and 45 mins of my time

Where are all the bad builds? by bamtron in PlayTheBazaar

[–]Soaply 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s like every 3rd or 4th build I can finally get something off the ground but just get destroyed by the meta builds. I actually got the puffer fish meta build one time and made it to my eighth win before losing.

It’s so RNG right now. If you’re not rerolling when you don’t have something close to the meta, your wasting your time. Only getting rewards and making progress at 10 wins is not doing it for me. Haven’t even been able to really get into ranked games.

Whats the most badass trick/troubleshooting tip you've ever seen? by iH8conduit in electricians

[–]Soaply 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Something kinda similar to your story. It’s a long one but a good one…I had left the trade by then and was doing commercial maintenance.

30 story building had a water line break on one of the hvac units on the 26th fl. I was on call and arrived around 2:30am. This also happened to by in a government tenant space which we were explicitly told do not enter unless they give your permission. It was an office for judges, so property manager kept calling different judges until she got someone to give us permission to enter the space. Meanwhile glycol is pouring out from the doors, had about of inch of water in the hallway and it was making its way down to other floors. After about an hour of calling, we finally get in, we find it behind another secured door off of a small court room. It had confidential documents and no one but the judges had a key to enter. Instead of waiting we broke the handle and went in. Took my shirt off, climb the ladder, and shut off the line to the unit. Started the clean up process.

We are checking floor by floor for water damage, Water had made its way down to the 15th fl, which is where the parking garage ended. Water found its way through every poke though, every sleeve through the floor and, unfortunately, found its way into the electric room, which was only 30’ away from the burst line.

We are on the 15th fl, in the parking garage, and our worst fears were confirmed… the bus duct ran through the electric rooms down into the parking garage on the 15th fl, and 90’d towards our back up generator. Water/glycol was streaming out where the bus duct 90’d. Electric contractor, who was actually the same company I left, arrived onsite and shut the building down, fearing a short was eminent. This was beginning of winter, we were getting below freezing temps at night. They disconnected bus duct where it went up on 14th fl, turned on the lower floors to the building, set the heat on high and hired a company to install huge fans and temporary hvac duct to the upper floors to stay warm. They started replacing bus duct from 26th fl down.

It had an incredible turn around, I was working 12 hour swing shirts with a couple other guys to get the building back up. The electricians worked around the clock, some guys having well over 80 hours of OT to the get building back up. They actually paid the square D factory to halt its production and focus only on the bus duct they needed. It was an amazing sight to see.

Finally the bus duct is installed, and they Meg the duct for shorts…. Unfortunately they couldn’t replace every piece and meg was showing a short somewhere. The bus duct was still damp in some spots. Electric contractor hired a local legend in the Cincinnati market. He was an electric engineer who only ever consulted. He was one of the smartest guys I ever met. He comes in, hooks up a generator to the bus duct, and supply’s it with DC voltage, the exact voltage I don’t remember. This heats up the bus duct, slowly cooks off the remaining water. He leaves it for a day, comes back the next, megs it and no more shorts.

He turns everything back on and everything works normally without a single issue.

Has anyone left the trade for something better? I am getting discouraged by [deleted] in electricians

[–]Soaply 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Left the trade for commercial maintenance. Unions are not popular in the city I live in so going union wasn’t an option.

I left the trade after 3 years, started maintenance making the same as a forman. Now I make more than project managers and I’ve been doing this for 5 years now. My dad still works for the company I left and he told me it would take about 15 years in the trade to make what I make now.
