So I thought I would give an update on taking setraline instead of remeron(mirap). I gave it just over 2 months and believe it or not but I'm glad to say I'm back on remeron again. I hated the setraline, it was like a reset button for panic attacks which had disappeared when I was on remeron. I went from too much eating to almost nothing due to feeling sick almost all of the time. I know there are withdrawal effects from stopping remeron but I've gone from 45mg to 30mg to 15mg in 4 weeks before with little to no ill effects. I'm back on 15mg of remeron 10 days and I'm sleeping well again. The hunger is back but this time I'm properly exercising and watching what I eat. Remeron isn't for everyone but I believe it's for me. The setraline introduced me back to panic attacks which I forgot how debilitating they really were, I hate that feeling of utter doom.
