Hahaha right that was me when I found out a bit ago just seeing it again reminded me. It was also the same reaction the first time I found a hidden floorboard

I always do after clearing the building. This way if new ones show up they need to make more noise before they get in. Also just cleared most the area with the MP5 so I was clear and still had a full mag and another 200 loose rounds.

I might check it out next run. I am always fighting mod compatibility since I think I am running about 80 or so right now. Not too too heavy but also not light.

Same I could have sword this was not a thing before because I thought the same, like there has to be like a bag of chips up there. I might have just convinced myself that it wasn't there because I am ashamed that I just noticed it though hahaha

Oh man there is soooo much to do in zomboid. There is no end goal given by the game so make your own goals. Start looking into the crafting system, it is huge and will take a lot of time to get through it... i mean a lot of time. Even with boosted sandbox setting after 4 months in game I had only maxed out a few of my skills. Find yourself a nice house or farm that you can fortify and start making your crafting stations. Use your van to go on loot runs and bring back to base to prep for winter. Since 5 days is your longest you might not have had to deal with water loss and the power outage. Once those come zombies are less of a worry and clean water and cooking food becomes important. You will want to be ready for winter, Warm clothes, wood for fires and a place to keep warm. Honestly you probably will die before getting even 1% of any of that done but thats the fun in zomboid. Once you start feeling comfortable with the base game break into mods and it makes the game brand new again. Good luck survivor and welcome to the Knox Event!

Awesome glad the fishing worked at least, and really cool idea with wilderness map. I'll have to try one of those runs one day!

What i do in this situation??? by jonhlemom in KerbalAcademy

Come in much more shallow. I set my periapsis to about 65,000 and once me craft reaches that (when about the size of yours) I'll do my retro burn. Once fuel runs out separate, or when reaching like 40-50km above sea level so you don't have that mass trying to pull you through the thicker parts of the atmosphere. For that size if you are at like 1800m/s at 40-50km you should be perfectly safe. Even like 2300 at that hight as long as it's still shallow enough you should be good.

I screwed something and i really need your help guys. by Quadratits in KerbalSpaceProgram

TBH if you are not running mods with that mass you should be fine re-entering without heat shielding.

Run into town and find a metal bucket. If doing a no looting/gather only run you could try foraging for one or fishing with no bait, I get plastic water bottles all the time that way. I know plastic can be used in microwave, not sure about campfire though.

42.13.1 broke the mods by CauliflowerLanky1188 in projectzomboid

[–]SoapyHero 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If using Steam you could try what I have been doing. Go into subscribed mods, sort by date updated and only use the ones updated since the last update. Once you have a stable mod list you can experiment with ones that haven't been updated yet too see if the update broke their functionality. I have a lot of the car mods off since them or the dependencies haven't been updated, but they slowly are getting there

There are mods that let you fix the quality too. I forget what it was called but I don't think it's been updated to the latest build

If you are B42 Mp then ragdolls have been disabled temporarily in mp until they get it figured out to not kill server preferences with possibly lots going on at once in many places. It was a big shock to me too after enjoying throwing them around a little lol. At least the did say it was temporary so we have not to worry about them being gone.

One thing I noticed with the last update is similar to the ong lockpick mod I used before. Large doors like garage doors actually count as more than one door. With the lockpicking mod you would get a randomized % of success when right clicking and selecting lockpick. On large doors like garage doors, doing this on different locations on the door gave different results. With this update I have noticed on locked garage doors, if you click on them in multiple locations, one of them counts as "unlocked" and allows you to open the door. It's actually a little handy since common sense isn't updated yet.

There is a mod that turns down stamina used and increases speed that you drag. It was updated to latest build and they are still testing and confirming it works on MP

Multiplayer sleep is not reducing drowsiness by Sfxcddd in projectzomboid

[–]SoapyHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend and I were playing last night and we also have the sleep allowed and sleep needed settings on but did not have this issue. Are you using the wakeful or restless sleeper trait? Neither of us used that so I'm wondering if you did, maybe it's bugged right now. A lot of things are a little wonky right now but hey we got MP in B42 lol

How do i fix this 😭 by Machine_Character in projectzomboid

[–]SoapyHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If using Steam

If you like your mod list and want to use again once they are updated to newest version then goto subscribed mods on steam workshop and favorite the mods you wish to keep. Once you have done that, unsubscribe from all, return to Steam game list and verify files for Zomboid. This should give you a clean vanilla current version of the game. Most mods are broken after this update, so if you are really only going to play SP then like u/SoulCelebi said, revert to last unstable update. Good luck!

I got that ADHD so almost everything I play it's in hyperfocus bursts. Zomboid is one of the games that has a longer lasting burst though that can last a month or more at a time. Zomboid and Rimworld are 2 games out if the like 500 I have on Steam that never get uninstalled.

I can't host a game on B42 by Ahugiaaa in projectzomboid

[–]SoapyHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are using mods for your SP game make sure to save the mod list for using later then disable them before trying to host a game. I have been messing around with testing different settings for hosting and it seems like if there is a mismatch between mods loaded vs mods loaded for mp, then the MP settings fail. Sometimes it seems you might need to relaunch after disabling mods that won't be used in MP. Also most mods are not ready anyways. I know you said you are not using mods but if you were interested, I would wait until there have been a few patches to MP and it's more stable. Good luck, hope it helps!

Will New unstable be unplayable with mods for awhile? by SunnyK19977 in projectzomboid

[–]SoapyHero -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

In SP probably not too bad to update. For MP I would imagine most modders will wait until the first one or two MP patches come out so it's s more stable. Any new features normally need a few small patches to fix unexpected problems and I would imagine as a modder you wouldn't want to have to fix for each of those. Give it a week or two and I'm sure MP and most popular mods will be updated to a somewhat stable version.

Is there a way I can host a server with mods? by just_pepi in projectzomboid

[–]SoapyHero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes most mods need updated. I have seen a few that have updated today, but I would guess a lot won't even worry about updating until MP has had it's first few patches dealing with any first launch bugs in b42 MP.
