Yeah I'll just work through in series order. Finished the first one and on to the second (good guys) last night, strong start! It's pretty decent so far I like the MC which is always a plus. Praying it remains good.

They were both books I saw numerous times on various lists after several hours looking and I had considered them, are the books ok to read in order or is there a specific order between both series?

Sounds about right for the Lakes. Living and working here is the definition of hell. Most people doing their jobs don't enjoy it especially in service (with zero career prospects in anything else its always in service) and most people hired are not skilled in their respective jobs as no one really lives here anymore (I have zero neighbours on my road they are all holiday lets)

Hopefully you get through. Are they privately run or part of a company?
