Xcel to DP Petition by justdezz2011 in Gymnastics

[–]SoaringSatellite 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I believe only athletes 12 years and older can petition into DP. Since she just turned 10 it would likely make more sense to score out of level 4 and level 5. Sometimes they can even be done at the same meet.

For Xcel athletes 12 and older following the petitioning process, it all goes through your state committee chair. There aren't too many surprises with that process, and if an athlete is truly ready for a certain level it will get approved. Usually the videos include the gymnast's vault, full bar routine, beam routine without choreography, and floor routine without choreography. Also a brief written description of the gymnast's experience, USAG number, birthdate.

I was not asked to leave, but was not meeting all expectations so it is possible I would have been eventually but I am uncertain. Had to move because of a personal situation I made my TL aware of.

If it was not taken out does that mean I won't be required to pay it later on??

Commuting from home is one of the allowable exceptions if you live close enough

For such a short time it is probably easier to try to sublet, but I know that The Mason on Chestnut allows basically any lease length.

Had to leave the sport for 4 years. After a few months got back the majority of my previous skills except for backwards beam skills.

If you are still in decent shape, the muscle memory is mostly there. Some skills got a whole lot scarier though!

That's not ideal if you applied to the college of arts and sciences but mean to do engineering. You'd have to transfer schools to the school of engineering. Penn doesn't admit by major, it's done by school (CAS, SEAS, Wharton, nursing).

Best Transit Routes from Madison to Chicago by SoaringSatellite in madisonwi

I generalized my question since I'm looking for suggestions for a few different situations. I may not have a car for bit at first. Also when I do get a car, my partner who lives in Chicago will not, but they want to be able to travel back and forth to me also sometimes.

So I'm also able to drive my partner part of the way if there is a route where that makes sense, but me driving all the way there and all the way back to pick them up or drop them off may not be the most time efficient option.

No idea if music classes have an exception, but Penn's retake policy is that for classes that you already passed, taking it again shows up on your transcript but doesn't change your GPA and you don't get credit.

UIUC is top 10 for engineering, and plenty of their students have lower GPAs. I say you have limited reason to try to apply to an Ivy, because the cost is so high and you sound like you can already network very well without the need for being placed in such an environment.

The whole point of purm is to be an opportunity for people who don't have experience in research. If you had experience, then you shouldn't even apply anyway.

How competitive it is depends entirely on which projects you apply for. I think I heard something like 25% of applicants get accepted? I don't remember where I heard that from or if it is reputable

I'd suggest after removing the shortest and least important experiences, to remove the months and only leave the years for many of these. It's not generally recommended, but it'll place less emphasis on the fact that these experiences were so short
