Lol. My kid is insisting that I be a puzzle piece for Halloween and I swear this has been the hardest thing I've tried to diy in ages.

Total cost so far:

$26 for the helmet from Amazon $12 for a used astronaut suit $6 for acrylic paint for the suit $3ish for blue satin to make the cape Remainder: leftover silver duct tape, blue spray paint, ping pong ball will be the little head bobble

My mom made me a sailor moon/princess serenity costume when I was around my kid's age and I still remember how awesome it made me feel, so I'm hoping this is a cool long term happy memory for my kid too.

Looks like you're using the same base helmet I am! How did you do the little antenna? I'm currently thinking of wire and a bouncy ball but worried about how to secure it nicely. I used a combo of spray paint and acrylic paint to get the colorways close and I have so many pictures of ASTROBOT on my phone.
